brilliantseas Posted March 23, 2022 Author #51 Share Posted March 23, 2022 I passed on the MDR this evening and opted for a lighter meal from the buffet. brilliantseas Posted March 23, 2022 Author #52 Share Posted March 23, 2022 Tonight's Playlist Productions show is The BRITS! Here is Leigh with the introductions. The costumes get more colorful as the show progresses from the black-and-white era to the colorful and psychedelic. It is probably my least favorite of the three Playlist shows on this ship, but still definitely worth watching.
brilliantseas Posted March 23, 2022 Author #53 Share Posted March 23, 2022 I just learned that this is Alter Idem's last cruise on Carnival Legend. They are disembarking the ship on Sunday and headed for a short break before heading to Carnival Splendor for a two month contract. If you're a fan of Alter Idem, now might be the time to plan an Alaska sailing for the early part of the summer season?
jenny368 Posted March 23, 2022 #54 Share Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) Bummer, I really liked them on our Thanksgiving cruise. We sail this Sunday and I will miss seeing them. Thanks for this review. I am enjoying following along. Edited March 23, 2022 by jenny368
scottb21009 Posted March 23, 2022 #55 Share Posted March 23, 2022 I am taking my wife and 2 kids (11 and 14) on this same cruise in mid-April. I have a question about the soda package. Do you have to pay for soda at dinner in the MDR? I seem to remember reading somewhere that even if you have the unlimited soda package, you still have to pay for them at dinner. Thanks. If you have the soda package you do not have to pay for soda at any point including in the MDR.

brilliantseas Posted March 24, 2022 Author #58 Share Posted March 24, 2022 What a great day at Half Moon Cay. The water was a bit choppy (watch the tendering video below), with the ship's position channel showing winds near 30 knots early in the day, but they still made tendering work and we ended up with a beautiful beach day at HMC. brilliantseas Posted March 24, 2022 Author #59 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Arrival at Half Moon Cay I skipped past the shopping village and headed straight for my "happy place" at the far end of the beach, near the last of the two story villas.
CookieShip Posted March 24, 2022 #60 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Chia seed puddings! I tried one based on your raves about it on my December cruise, got me hooked along with my brother. Going in May with my BF, I'll make him try one too, lol.

I may have to start making chia seed pudding at home. It's like overnight oats, only edible? 😆

brilliantseas Posted March 24, 2022 Author #69 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Parched Pig Toasted Amber during the very first "Adult Game Night" in the Firebird Lounge. I'm not yet convinced this will be an event worth repeating, and certainly not a worthy replacement for Quest. It is basically "adult" trivia with way too much information about the Fun Squad's personal lives thrown in.
