I am moving my photo's from my iPhone to my MacBook Air, opening them, using the rotate button to move them so they are oriented correctly and then saving. Although they look correctly oriented when I open them up, if I do not rotate them and save them, they show up sideways when posted. Anyway, I hope you'll forgive the earlier post and if there were any you woulld like to see in the correct orientation let me know and I'll upload again. Good to hear you found a solution. I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max and only occasionally have an orientation problem. I had previously heard that if you Camera App is set to "RAW" with only minimal processing. It is possible that EXIF metadata (which contains orientation as well as lots of other data may not be able to be read by some web software. One Solution I found on the internet was this - What to do about it The solution is to always take your photos and videos by holding the device in landscape mode with the home button on the right. This is the only way these devices know how to take pictures without rotation issues.
StillLooking4Adventure Posted April 3, 2022 #102 Share Posted April 3, 2022 Thanks for the review. We are on the silhouette for its 1st European cruise On the 21st. Other than the retreat have you noticed other improvements from the updating of the ship that you enjoyed?
Rare cachouonacruise Posted April 3, 2022 #103 Share Posted April 3, 2022 Thank-you very much Dakahuna for taking the time to post interesting review comments and beautiful pictures. I found them very interesting, especially, since we're hoping, fingers crossed, to sail on Silhouette in June.

Nothing other than the Sunset Bar being completely different on Reflection. On Silhouette the bar is still along the back wall whereas on Reflection it is more circular like the Martini Bar. Rare DaKahuna Posted April 3, 2022 Author #105 Share Posted April 3, 2022 The Captain just announced that there were a ‘couple of passengers’ with breakthrough cases who tested positive for COVID. They were either a systematic or had very mild symptoms. No further information at this point.

Being a teckno nerd I was just going through all the menus one day and found it - I Think it was under the information area. I'm not expecting much in the iLounge but sure seems logical with as much OBC credit that most have would be a good chance for Celebrity and the Vendor to cash in. Jim It’s really “slim pickings” in the iLounge. There are a few JBL headphones, 2 MacBooks a few phone sanitizers but not much more. No iPads of any kind, and it sounds like it has been pretty sparse for a while now. OBC will be a tough spend in the iLounge, so you may have to do some spending elsewhere. One thing I noticed in your pictures and Iain confirmed on a YouTube Video is that they took out the lawn on the Port side near the Sunset Bar and put in quite a bit of additional seating. Really looks good and much better use of space. In the past where the smoking area was it was difficult to walk by when half of the seats would be moved to get shade and others weren't moved. You can see it in this picture of yours- the previous walk and sitting area was wooden area. Edited April 4, 2022 by Jim_Iain

Rare DaKahuna Posted April 4, 2022 Author #110 Share Posted April 4, 2022 Jim, That’s true. The picture was of the starboard side. I’ll see if I can get some better pictures of the seating areas and the port side tomorrow but you are correct that the grass lawn has definitely gotten smaller. My general comment was more in relation to the main bar. I have the pictures on my Air of the Reflection Sunset Bar so maybe I’ll do a photo comparison. I was thinking it was Port - from the YouTube we were looking at (Sillhouette before and After Revolution) I must have been turned around. Looks like a good use of the space. While the seating area is very nicely done, very few of the seats are in the shade. In the past with the chairs and tables alongside the superstructure there was shade from the sun. I will get some better pictures today as I do not expect to spend much time ashore here in Cartagena. I think our plan is to take a short walk to the nature park at the end of the pier and then come back.

Rare DaKahuna Posted April 4, 2022 Author #116 Share Posted April 4, 2022 Cartagena is not on our top 10 list so having done the full city tour experience in 2019 we decided to simply walk off the ship and visit the Cartagena de Indias at the end of the port to visit the gift shop and to see the wild life. I think I over did it on picutres so I'll only post a. few of the peacock's, flamingo's, parrots, and a surprise guest that we found totally by accident.
Rare DaKahuna Posted April 4, 2022 Author #117 Share Posted April 4, 2022 Along side the Silohuette is a ship that I have read about, researched, and must admit to being jealous of those that live aboard.

She is a beautiful ship and in really good shape for her age. It is a shame that supply chain issues have made some items unavailable and there are a few things that have not been fixed, like the USb ports in the bed side lamps, but I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy your B2B2B onboard her. I just wish we were in a position to join you on your journey. Yours is an amazing itinerary.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted April 5, 2022 #120 Share Posted April 5, 2022 We noticed the Supply Chain issues on our October cruise and I guess they have only gotten worse. On one cruise they ran out of Ginger Ale and lots of wines were not available. Do you happen to remember who the Maitre 'D of Luminae is? So far I don't recognize any of the crew you have mentioned. We have a special place in our heart for Silhouette as we had our Zenith Induction Ceremony on her. The Captain gave us a really nice model of the ship and sits in one of the bedrooms. Keep in mind that the Luminae appears to be short staffed so that may be why there is not a separate seating host and Maitre’d.

Rare DaKahuna Posted April 6, 2022 Author #125 Share Posted April 6, 2022 The Captain just came on and announced that due to a passenger with a medical emergency that requires facilities beyond the ships medical capabilities so we are changing course towards Jamacia. As a result this means we will not be going to Bimini. He emphasized that this was not COVID related.
