OnTheJourney Posted April 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2022 Ended yesterday...."For sailings booked by March 31, 2022, that depart by September 30, 2022, you can cancel up to 48 hours before your sail date" I'm contemplating (re) booking a cruise that sails this coming October, (that I canceled a few months ago - long story), but hate to do it if the cancellation package is not being extended. Not sure what the policy is outside of this offering that has been in place during the pandemic.
molly361 Posted April 1, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2022 Regular cancellation policies apply now. If you are not confident about sailing books a refundable fare

Not even sure what those are anymore! Have to check. It's not a matter of (covid-related) confidence, since I just did a cruise - but moreso a complicated scheduling dilemma - too many rebooked / rescheduled trips that are sort of colliding with each other. OnTheJourney Posted April 1, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted April 1, 2022 OK.....just found it. So it appears "Cruise with Confidence" is done. FOR 5 NIGHTS OR LONGER CRUISES (including Holiday sailings and Cruisetours) IF CANCELLATION IS MADE CANCELLATION CHARGE 90 days or more prior to the first day of the Cruise No charge (except for Nonrefundable Deposit amounts) 89 to 75 days 25% of total price 74 to 61 days 50% of total price 60 to 31 days 75% of total price 30 days or less 100% of total price (No refund)
steveru621 Posted April 1, 2022 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2022 I doubt it. RCI wants complete control over canceled cruises. It's not a two way street. TOS say they can pretty much do anything they want. Cancel your cruise, just because we feel like moving the ship, or even change your cabin.

The pandemic was an extraordinary event which required the cruise lines to adapt with extraordinary measures to protect themselves and their customers in an effort to see their way through. No surprise that as we begin to recover from all of this that things will start - little by little - to revert back to the way they were. And I, for one, will be happy with that and hope that, sooner than later, we all get back to a more normal degree with everything. I’ll be happy to revert to pre-Covid booking conditions once RC revert to pre-Covid health screening.

OnTheJourney Posted April 2, 2022 Author #11 Share Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) Someone mentioned that you can do a refundable deposit once you get to the payment screen. I just tried that and don't see that option (?) I got all the way up to entering credit card # and choosing whether to pay the full amount or just the deposit. Nowhere does it mention the option of refundable. Edited April 2, 2022 by AnyWayIsGood

Nowhere does it mention the option of refundable. it should be in the section where it lists list dining times, then below that wii be refundable addition, then prepaid gratuities, then insurance,. don’t go as far as payment page. (Note: excludes full suites) Edited April 2, 2022 by ocean sounds added

If not try what the above poster said
