Ship Capacity

Recommended Posts

Many of the ships are running at limited capacity due to the C 19.

Our ship we will be going on will be limited since three decks are being used for isolation of passengers till they are released to land hotels for further care.

Also many of the lines are not also operating many of their ships as of yet.

I would ask this on the RCI board, here:

https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/51-royal-caribbean-international/

Capacity was limited because quarantine capacity was required by CDC. As far as I know, that requirement was dropped, but most cruise lines still seem to be maintaining at least some quarantine capacity.

Lack of demand may result in low occupancy, but it doesn't change the capacity of the ship. Setting aside rooms for quarantine limits capacity.

Anybody know if cruise lines - specifically RC Oasis of the Seas - are limiting capacity either because of covid or lack of demand?

Lack of demand doesn't seem to be happening.

Limited is over. We were on symphony and allure in feb and March. They both said by May will be full capacity.  My neighbor just returned from Oasis and said it was very full. Capacity means nothing though. Our March cruise only had 3900 and was the worst because there was not enough staff to handle it. I would have had a full ship with full staff. They are filling up the ships now and still having trouble getting the full staff back.
