hobgoblin Posted May 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Can anyone suggest what would be best thing to do following our disembarkation in Barcelona from Beyond ship ? Flights not till 5 pm and likely need to be in airport 3 hours before . We are Elite passengers so maybe we can stay on board ship a bit longer? Any suggestions not to spend day at airport much appreciated!
Mark_T Posted May 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2022 There are sometimes ship tours that will end at the airport after a morning elsewhere, and there are always local tour operators that will offer transfers inc. a tour... I do not believe that status is going to get you anything helpful.
hrhdhd Posted May 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2022 You should also build in some time to get a COVID test, assuming you're flying to the U.S.
canderson Posted May 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Not since the restart have we seen the "Extend Your Stay" program offered on any X ship. As has been suggested, there are sometimes tours of a sort offered as part of the airport transfer.

As for something to do - depending on how much luggage you have, maybe take the hop-on hop-off bus. There are two routes and each takes 120 minutes to do a full loop, https://city-sightseeing.com/en/17/barcelona

Rare Jim_Iain Posted May 21, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 21, 2022 As many have suggested, they often have a airport drop off combined with a tour for late flight customers. I believe they may be in your cruise planner already other times they are available on the ship. If this isn't the case you might plan a private tour with airport drop off. twodjs Posted May 21, 2022 #10 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Maybe a day pass at a local hotel?
Denny01 Posted May 21, 2022 #11 Share Posted May 21, 2022 It’s tough not doing anything but an organized tour because our your luggage. Within walking distance is certainly the La Rhombla, a major road/park/shops/eateries up through the center of town, starting at the Columbus Monument near the port docks. there is a Columbus ship replica there many times. We walked over to the Picasso museum nearby and it is fantastic. But again. Luggage. Den
RickT Posted May 21, 2022 #12 Share Posted May 21, 2022 Many of Barcelona’s hotels have rooftop patios available to the public. Choose one and walk/taxi to in and have a relaxing morning and lunch before heading to the airport.
Arizona Wildcat Posted May 22, 2022 #13 Share Posted May 22, 2022 We booked a tour leaving from the ship that took us around Barcelona and dropped us at the airport a few years ago. Take a look on the internet and also suggest you need to look at the Barcelona port guide and your roll call .
