I disagree with you on your mask stance but I respect your opinion. I completely agree with thanks for the generosity of time and effort that @crusin4us and others have shared. An enormous amount of practical and useful information for those of us just about to board. And @L11, I really don't care for gambling (smoking etc.) at all, and stay as far away from it as possible - even for free - so even the fact that they are giving people cruises to gamble makes me think I should have picked a different cruise. But that is just me and was happy to read about how much fun you all who enjoy it were having. (Scout raffle tickets is the extent of my gambling and I usually just donate the money and let them resell the tickets.) Honestly had no idea tournaments were a thing on ships. Some of these posts are making more sense now, as well as the "I was up until 3 am" posts 😁.

I don't play on land and I just started to play on the ship last October because I love to cruise. My wife is worried about me getting dementia because it runs in my family, so she told me to play, so I can think and chat more with other players, even though she hates the casino. So far, it's been very enjoyable with the discounted and/or free cruises, and free play. Very interesting. Thank you for posting

Only one I know for sure Doesn't have a casino? Is Disney. 😆

MouseBerry Posted June 26, 2022 #155 Share Posted June 26, 2022 Azamara has transformed all casinos on their ships to bars and other facilities. So no casino in Az ships anymore.

Dementia is not genetic. Just because one or both of your parents may have been afflicted with dementia or Alzheimer's, it is not an indication that you will be affected. As to your advice about not playing on the ship's casinos, you're right on. Learn the games, learn the odds (use Nevada casinos for reference,) and then figure out that the odds on the ship's casino are considerably higher in favor of the house. Then think about whether you really want to spend time there. 1

It may be a moot point but we cruised on the Norwegian Wind a couple of times. The first time, down out of Florida and then again out of Hawaii. Well, they took all of the machines out for these itineraries even though they did have a stop over in Fanning Island. The casino had not been converted into another type of public space. It just had power cables coming up out of the carpet. So strange to see that after having sailed on her previously with a very active casino.
