How often does the ferry run to Waiheke?

We will be docking in Auckland in Oct…. We arrive at 7:00 and depart at 3:00, so not a lot of time. I really wanted to see Waiheke, but I’m concerned about the short amount of time. Thoughts? Thanks!

you won't really have much time to do a lot in Waiheke in that short time

I'd recommend taking the ferry over to Devonport - it's only a 15-20 minute ferry ride

If you go to Waiheke it is roughly a 1km walk to the village, I would suggest finding a tour whch might show you some sights or wine tastings.

Weather dependent, the ferry trip there and back is worth it alone.
