amey7376 Posted June 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Hello, I would like to share my issue wishing some can give me an advise in this regards. I have already a reservation on Royal Caribbean for a trip next October22 and I used my FCC as redumption to pay the deposit but was suprised they have used part of it not all, I still have remaining amount with them (187$). I am from Bahrain I emailed RCI to know how to use it and every time I get a reply after months and they just say nothing repating the same thing that I have FCC. Finally they answered me with a number to call to ask to apply my FCC to my current booking. I called but the line hang up!. Final payment is after 2 weeks and till now I have no idea how to apply this amount to my booking. If any one have an idea please share. Your assistant will be highly appreciated. Thanks
Another_Critic Posted June 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2022 You can't not use FCC to pay taxes/fees; that is probably what the leftover amount is. If that is indeed the case, you will have to use the remaining FCC (once re-issued) towards another booking. 2

Joseph2017China Posted June 28, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Sounds like you booked a cruise, and had FCC to use. It sounds like they paid off your cruise 100%. You now have some left over FCC. You also have a balance. Port charges and taxes are not cruise fare, but are separate line items, and they can not be used for FCC. Look at your receipt, and see what the port charges and taxes are. If it matches, than you know for sure, you need to pay the $187.00. It can be frustrating to understand all these rules but it does sound like you most likely need to pay it. Any left over FCC can go to the next cruise. 1

amey7376 Posted July 5, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted July 5, 2022 Thanks everyone for the replies. This FCC was from 2019 and because of the pandamic it has been transfered as credit. Maybe they took the amount that covers only the deposit. Contacting RCII is frustrating. The balance has an expiry date (Dec22) and I dont think I will go on cruise after OCT. And it is not allowed to use it on board. Any way I thank everyone again for spare your times to send a reply. Regard,

rebeccac Posted July 5, 2022 #13 Share Posted July 5, 2022 From Royal's website: The following policy applies to sailings that were cancelled as part of our COVID-19 operations suspension: You will receive one Future Cruise Credit combining the two amounts: 100% of your original Future Cruise Credit amount and 125% of any additional cruise fare funds paid on the reservation. The additional 25% issued as an FCC can be redeemed on any sailing departing on or before December 31, 2022 or one year from the original sailing date, whichever is later. The remaining FCC amount will not have an expiration date. So, it looks like at least the original amount paid will not expire, only the additional 25% added on. rebeccac Posted July 5, 2022 #17 Share Posted July 5, 2022 I misunderstood. I thought the original cancellation was due to the pandemic.

Original Exp was Oct2020. Applied to a Fall2020 Cruise that was canceled, refunded Deposit from that Cruise and the FCC was never reissued. Royal had it as already used FCC, email to them applied all to my next Cruise.
