visiting Maputo NCL cruise next year. I checked tripadvisor and CC I googled it but I cannot find any clear information about

the visa for NCL cruises. I did contact NCL ( chat )  and they gave me a very vage information,  they just directed me to their webpage

about visa required and travel documents.

Now i wonder if we have not bought this visa before leaving on this cruise will we be denied boarding in Capetown ? ( this cruise is going to Dubai and we are b2b to Athens ) According this online chat it is possible we will be denied altough we might not leave the ship in Maputo,  but that seem to be a bit radical to me.

Is there anyone who can clarify for me if we need to buy a visa or not before the cruise for Maputo ( altough we might not leave the ship )

there is a cruise critic group for this cruise and several people wonder what to do.

thank you, wishing you all a great day

My wife and I are on the Azamara Journey Feb 8th sailing out of Cape Town.  I have confirmations from both my TA and from AZ directly for U.S. passport holders, visas on arrival are NOT required at embarkation.  Azamara will issue visas for Mozambique once on board (for a fee).  So with proper passport and vaccination documentation, boarding in Cape Town should be smooth.  I'm not familiar w/ the particular NCL itinerary you reference, but with respect to U.S. citizens and Mozambique, you will have no problem embarking Cape Town.
