Markanddonna Posted July 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2022 The Kids Sale Free banner is on the front page and it appears that it applies to every sailing. However, when I do a mock booking for a three nighter, it shows two fees for a child: SRN $54.15 and "stateroom" $62.27. Together these fees are about half of what an adult fare is. So, where are the Kids Sale Free fares?
cellfree Posted July 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2022 I believe they still pay “taxes and port fees.”
cruiseguyinorl Posted July 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2022 They still pay taxes as @cellfree says, plus the kids free sometimes only applies to under 12. Bret
Markanddonna Posted July 25, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted July 25, 2022 (edited) I cut and pasted the child's fare summary: Stateroom $ 71.30 SRN $ 54.15 Taxes and Fees $ 117.12 So, she pays the taxes and fees plus the Stateroom and SRN fee and she is nine years old. This was for a bella balcony, Voyagers's Club rate. Here is the adult rate (there would also be an additional Adult 2): Adult 1 Price $ 287.90 Taxes and Fees $ 117.12 Edited July 25, 2022 by Markanddonna
Markanddonna Posted July 25, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted July 25, 2022 I called and asked. It is poorly and deceptively advertised on the front page. In fact, very few cruises are kids sail free. That is okay with me. We would shudder at how crowded the ship would be if it applied to all sailings.
