Time for a spot of vacation! 🧐 Flying L.A. to Boston Thu morning @ 0830 Hrs. on an American Airlines A321. Should take us about 5 hrs. or so (5 hrs. and 7 minutes) to get to Logan Int'l Airport. Spending Fri exploring bean town via the Boston Trolley. A pre-anniversary (our anniversary is Sat, the 13th) dinner at Ruth's Chris on Fri evening.

Sat; we take a ride to Black Falcon cruise terminal to board Holland America Line's Zaandam, the one with the big Pluer Band organ in her atrium. What follows is a seven-day New England/Canada cruise up north with stops in Baah Habaah, Maine and five Canadian ports: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Sydney, not Australia, but Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, a hook shank left up the mighty Saint Lawrence River, a stop in tres merveilleux la Ville de Québec, and a final stop in nearby Montreal where we exit Zaandam stage left on Sat, 29 Aug 22. We're spending an extra day in Montreal before trucking home on Sunday, the 21st. Should be a nice one! Follow along with us if you dare! 😉

have a great time.. enjoy your cruise .. and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY..  that sure looks like Det. Hercule Poirot that you are watching on that monitor screen .. we did 4 back to backs starting in Boston in late May onboard the Zaandam with Captain Ane who went home after our third week.. it was really nice to see familiar 'old Maasdam' faces with the staff and crew once again.. it's one of our favorite cruises that we try to do every year--gotta love Old Quebec City-- a stop in at Paillard's on Rue Saint-Jean on the upper level for the best of the best Croissants-- recommended to us a few years back by the one and only Francois..  I'm sure you will have great weather and a bit warmer than we had back then.. have fun.. retired from 'the job' 32 years as of this past July 30.. now living the dream and cruising as much as we can.. from My Blog  https://stakeouttoo.blogspot.com/2022/06/day-23-quebec-city.html

Took a relatively similar cruise in mid Sept., 2015 on Veendam.Idea was to see some fall colors. Ha! it was 90 degrees in Boston, and relatively warm everywhere except Quebec. Still had a good time.

Happy Anniversary, have a wonderful time. Always enjoy following along with your interesting  posts.

Happy anniversary!  We flew into BOS this morning and are looking over the harbor from our hotel room at the NCL Pearl right now. Tomorrow we get to watch the Zaandam sail in before breakfast, then we'll walk down to board. Looking forward to a nice, relaxing week at sea.
