Several people have commented about the public areas on the ship being unbearably hot.  Did you experience this?  How was your room temp?

We cruise in a couple weeks and will want to spend time at bars, the casino, etc. and was wondering if we are going to have an issue based on what a few others have reported.

I stayed in a spa balcony deck 11 port side. I only had breakfast in the buffet area.  The only long lines were the omlete station.  I most say I didn't encounter any rude people and I didn't hear any complaints.  I had exursions is all 4 ports through carnival.  Aruba we did the submarine with carnival and an island tour with someone at the port, Curacao we an island tour with a beach break that also went to the caves, La Romana we did the Top 10 and Amber Cove the Wild truck adventure with beach break.  They all were very good.

We had dinner at JiJi the first night. The food was good.  The Chefs Table Monday night, it was a good experience, Wednesday Teppanyaki,  it was a lot of food I couldn't finish it. Thursday Cucina del Capitano, it was decent and the steak house Saturday night, food was good.  We also had the cheers package husband did it justice. I had occasional cocktail, specialty coffee, soda and water.  Was it worth it.  It was piece of mind that there wasn't a bill at the end of the cruise.

I will be doing this itinerary the first week of October. Did you spend any time in the casino? How crowded? Comedy shows? Do you know who the comedians were?

I spent some time in the  casino prime time lots of people. Since the bar is no longer there an extremely long wait time to get drinks. Comedy show full crowds +18 shows. Line was all the way back to the casino on one show. I actually waited at the door for the end of the line to go inside and I was still able to get two seats with table almost in the front. So the lounge holds more people that I thought.

Thank you! I think our cruise is a premier casino cruise and was afraid it would be crazy busy. With all the people in there, I may find other entertainment. We usually arrive really early for the comedy each night, so we will continue to do that.

Did you enjoy the spa area? What was your favorite of the 4 excursions? Thx!!

Is this the only place for Happy Hour...we'll be on Horizon in Nov.

There is no Red Frog Pub on the Horizon. They have a bar at Guy's pig and anchor smokehouse that does not have a happy hour, but is a far superior bar overall in my opinion. For added confusion is a Red Frog rum bar on the lido deck of the Horizon, but it also does not have a happy hour. I've been on Horizon three times and have never seen a happy hour on the first day.
