When disembarking in Barcelona are taxis available to airport or is it best to reserve a car service?

We had no problem just grabbing a taxi in April.

Check to see what ships are in port on the day you disembark.  If the megaships are in port, it can be more difficult to get a taxi.  We ended up taking the shuttle bus provided by the pier to get close to our hotel a couple of years back.
