Ranchi Posted August 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2022 In all of the e-mail links I have received from P&O I can’t find which page will give details of the number of formal nights on our forthcoming cruise. Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Many thanks.
FangedRose Posted August 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2022 There are two formal nights per week on all P&O ships. Except on Iona where there is one.

That will show you the dress code for each night of your cruise.
Ranchi Posted August 19, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Thanks, terrierjohn. I found it. Unfortunately it is going to let me know nearer the time- we go next week.
theardlies Posted August 19, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Are you sure it's not showing if you log into mypocruises? As terrierjohn has said, log in, click on 'Your Itinerary' (near the top on the right) and it will show each day, one at a time. Should be there as mine is showing and you go before me! Hope it helps

davecttr Posted August 19, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Formal night can be moved at short notice due to adverse weather etc. It has happened to me on a few occasions.

Too true, especially on Atlantic crossings, our black tie and celebration nights are listed for our November cruise but I will be surprised if there are no changes, not that it really matters to us. bbtablet Posted August 20, 2022 #12 Share Posted August 20, 2022 We didn't get notification at all before we left - it does seem to vary a lot! . Rule of thumb - 2nd night (assuming Day 2 was a sea day). Also night before the last night, again assuming that day was a sea day. Never on the evening of a port call day. Approx 2 per week, as FangedRose said, so you can often guess pretty accurately from those observed practices.
Slugsta Posted August 20, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 20, 2022 We were scheduled to have our final formal evening on a port day (penultimate day of the cruise). As it happened, we were unable to tender due to sea conditions, so it ended up as a sea day anyway!

As has been mentioned above, if the sea is particularly nasty they may postpone formal nights, happened to me once or twice. Britboys Posted August 21, 2022 #15 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Sadly, it is definitely not always shown on the itinerary in 'mypocruises'..
