kjarnold Posted August 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Leaving October for Eastern Europe Budapest to Bucharest trip. I’m wondering what to pack for clothing. First time on a river cruise. Thank you
lisiamc Posted August 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2022 (edited) The answer to these questions is nearly always “layers”! 😀 If you think Wisconsin in October, and not Florida, you’ll be pretty much right on the money. It can be gorgeous, sunny and pretty warm, or cold and rainy. Finding a site that gives the average temperature for the countries you’ll be visiting will also be useful. I’m wondering what to pack for clothing. First time on a river cruise. Thank you Howdy @kjarnold and thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum! However, it is the forum for general questions regarding cruising. Your inquiry is about a specific type of cruising and area in October. Your thread was off topic there. To help you out I have moved your new thread to the River Cruise Ports forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed river cruises in the area & season you mentioned frequent this forum and provide feedback here. I suggest you use the Follow feature on this thread or any other thread where you are interested in the replies. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are replies on your Followed threads because they will all come looking for you as notifications! Agree... the average daytime temperature for the region is between 65 and 70 Fahrenheit. Layers will carry the day but you do want to be equipped for wet weather. Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted August 19, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2022 Sorry to move your thread again but since it isn't about an individual river cruise port but an entire itinerary, it really belongs in the main River Cruising forum – which gets more views than the Ports forum and so should get you more and better answers! Canal archive Posted August 20, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Thank you Jazz I was still trying to understand Kats reply. Yes you can’t go far wrong with layers as that time of year in that part of the world could just throw up an Indian Summer.
