planefring1 Posted August 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2022 We all agreed that one location we all want to see is the Crystal Caves. we want to sightsee before so we don’t want to on the tour schedule. Do we take the free ferry from the RNDY to Hamilton, then a cab or bus to the caves? any feedback on tips or money saving ideas are extremely welcomed. Thanks again…

Thanks again… The NCL free ferry runs to St. George, not Hamilton, but actually St George is where you want to go. Crystal Caves is a short bus ride from St George. If you want to go to Hamilton for some other reason you should take the public ferry, which costs $5 cash or $4.50 for a token.

Hearthosesteeldrumsplayin Posted August 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Just returned from Bermuda on the Pearl. We did the Hidden Gems tour, which includes a cave, wet cave, and "cliff" jumping.....was a highlight of our trip. But pricey! (I had actually considered doing a tour on our own, but DH wanted a ship tour.) I hope you have a blast!

There's no need to limit your options to the #3 route.

When we looked into visiting the Crystal Caves on our own last fall, they told us that the cruise lines book up a lot of the slots for their own excursions. So please keep that in mind — if you show up without a reservation, you may have a wait. That’s why they advise making a reservation. https://caves.bm BTW, the Caves are pretty close to the Swizzle Inn . . . 😊

(Blue Hole Park) It was once published years ago that only that tour company was supposed to do cliff jumping there to protect the reserve, not on your own, but I don't know if that is still the case. You can definitely cliff jump on your own at Admiralty House Park. It is near Hamilton and a popular cliff jumping location. Never done myself it but have watched.
