mike&elena Posted September 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2022 Princess continues to require a negative COVID test for cruises over 15 days. My question: What happens if you test positive and are denied boarding after the 'Book with Confidence' program expires on 9/30?

I was watching to see if PCL was going to extend BWC/CWC provisions beyond Sep 30. However, we passed the date they would have extended (based on previous extensions) some time ago and nothing has changed since. To reuse an oft-used phrase, I do think that ship has sailed. I imagine we are left with our own devices as in Trip Interruption/Cancellation Insurance.

FlamePoint Posted September 7, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2022 Based on the following link, it appears you will be given FCC: https://www.princess.com/legal/covid-19-refund-cancellation-policy/
Brickwood Posted September 8, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2022 Note that according to the above link, you'll get FCC as long as covid is considered a public health emergency which designation is currently in place through October 13, 2022. That could be extended another 90 days into January....and then another 90 days, and so on.....

seekatz Posted September 8, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2022 Think as mentioned, good travel insurance is a must at a time with plane flight issues as well as COVID. We have not booked a cruise without insurance without it since the start up. Yes the current plan is FCC, but never sure if this program gets extended, but this only covers positive testing.
