1bravesfan Posted October 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2022 I just did a Royal Up Request for a November 26 departure. When do they normally notify you if your request was accepted?

You can browse the many Royal Up threads for some feedback - anytime between bid and the night of sail away.
Rare island lady Posted October 7, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2022 Pretty much after you have unpacked, had dinner, went to the show, and then had gone to bed that first night on board. That was when I got my denial email. 😖 2

Rare BecciBoo Posted October 7, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2022 (edited) WE got our denial from the loyalty ambassador well after we set sail 2 weeks ago on Grandeur. Edited October 7, 2022 by BecciBoo

I should have done my research before putting in a bid. I bid the minimum on a suite and grand suite. It would be a bummer to miss out on some of the Suite Perks if they were to accept after the ship had sailed.
tropiclvrs Posted October 7, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 7, 2022 Would someone be able to share the link for the Royal Up? I cannot find my email now even though I know I received it. From past sailings, I remember you have to put in your name and sailing date so I don't think the link is person/booking specific.

It is very much person/booking specific. First result on any search engine result should be it.

tropiclvrs Posted October 7, 2022 #11 Share Posted October 7, 2022 (edited) Thank you carlosalonsor! @Biker19, As I said it is not booking or person specific. You have to enter this info as you'll see form the link above. Edited October 7, 2022 by tropiclvrs

Look at the form again - it asks for the Reservation, i.e. booking, number. Book a sailing with Costco and then see if it's not booking/person specific.

Carlos A. Posted October 7, 2022 #14 Share Posted October 7, 2022 For me it's a strange situation. I booked directly with RC and I keep getting the 30 days error message, however there are other fellow cruisers in the same sailing who have been able to bid. Rare livingonthebeach Posted October 7, 2022 #16 Share Posted October 7, 2022 It's a good idea to check to see how much an upgrade would be. Sometimes it is less than the minimum Royal Up bid. Royal Up could end up costing more than a regular upgrade.

Just too too high. Dec 4th. Cant even check in yet but well past final.

This last time, once I was already on the ship, already in our originally booked cabin, and unpacked....I cancelled our bid since I had heard nothing from Royal UP. 😉 Edited October 7, 2022 by island lady
