Should have been another bar placed there. I don't know. Placing a shop across from a bar seems like a pretty crafty move to me. How much money does a bar make on a ship where most people have a drink package? Less than the jewelry store I expect.
Steff79 Posted October 13, 2022 #202 Share Posted October 13, 2022 you can put shops at some other places and not for a huge glass front.

Don’t see any indication that Indulge Food Hall would be a charge in the future. It felt like they split the buffet into the traditional buffet and took all the international cusine into the Food Hall concept. Where portions are controlled and waste is down so costs are less than the buffet and we get table service. I think the pads are the same as Food Republic and are an off the shelf product with 0.00 price points. They need to be able to charge drinks to your card as you can order alcohol to your table too. We loved the Food Hall concept and ate they several times on the recent TA. 5

I would think that they are cooling outside air versus recycling as part of their continued efforts to minimize the spread of cocos onboard.

The Bird actually purchased some bling at the Pandora shop. Edited October 13, 2022 by BirdTravels

Once booked, head across the hall to the Improv to make/fox dining reservations. Can you make entertainment reservations in the app or do you have to go to Syd Norman's? Rare PhillyTravelBug Posted October 13, 2022 #211 Share Posted October 13, 2022 The MDR's look stunning! The menus are more impressive than I was expecting. We have a 10 day cruise next year, so I think we will have a good balance of specialty and MDR meals. Thank you for such detailed photos.

I found myself shopping more than I ever would on a ship. We were onboard for 22 days at first they had a ton of selection but by the time we crossed the Atlantic the stores were pretty picked over. Regarding small venues- they were having some technical difficulties in the main theater. From my understanding they will be utilizing the theater more but it’ll just take a while to work out the bugs. I noticed quite a bit of pop up entertainment. Would be getting a Starbucks and a guy would start performing spur of moment. More of an organic happening with entertainment to cut down crowds. Thanks for the great review.

Thanks! On this week’s cruise, the app did not have all of the entertainment loaded at embarkation time. I did not check the touch screen kiosks. However, it is much much much easier to get an entertainment menu to see everything happening for the week, check boxes, and have the agent poke it in the system. If you rely on the app, you would be going from show to show to figure out what is when. We used the app to book dinners around the shows. We still had to talk with someone to fox a dinner that was conflicting with a show. 1

Rare BirdTravels Posted October 14, 2022 Author #216 Share Posted October 14, 2022 Here’s something cool. Since the orchestra section of the theater moves to make a dance floor, they partially move it for the Noiseboys show. This gives them about 20-30 feet more stage space and some floor seating. (Normally the first row of seats is right up at the stage.

There's no way this was just someone not paying attention. Every ship cannot be everything to everyone. People will adjust. I for one have never been to Syd Norman's so this in no way deters me from sailing Prima. People who value live entertainment will lean toward other ships. Most ships can accommodate most of the passengers partaking in most of things they paid for in their cruise package. My point, whether you like the venues, use them, or not is that you are paying for the fair opportunity to use them and this ship fails to do that. I will be on her in May and yes, I will adjust to what ever happens.....but what ever happens will determine if I ever book her again and I think that will be the case for most of the disappointed frustrated people.

We also were quite disappointed at the small size of some of the venues like the comedy club and Syd Norman's. Some have compared this ship to Celebrity's Edge class. They're about the same tonnage with similar passenger capacity, but Celebrity hit one out of the park with their design. NCL, not so much. While we really loved the Food Hall and the MDR, the architecture and decor of much of the rest of the Prima just seemed to miss the mark. On future NCL cruises we probably will focus on the Breakaway + class as well as some of the smaller ships.

There is no expectation that all 3500 passengers will do and see everything on a ship on major cruise lines. There is no expectation on a Royal Oasis class ship that all 6500 passengers will fit in their 150 seat comedy club. Or 500+ seat aquatheater. If you expect to see and do everything, maybe book a river cruise.

Unfortunately this is incorrect. We sail on multiple cruise lines on their big ships. And most passengers can not participate in all activities. The idea is like Disneyland. You spread your guests out all over the park and there is no way to see everything.
