Roy, congrats on having the tropical storm warning/watch lifted South of Jupiter. That will help the port to get up and running. I have no plans for the day. NONE. Rare ottahand7 Posted November 10, 2022 #29 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Good morning! It is a beautiful morning in very SW Michigan as we are getting ready to head home. I hope we can get some yard work done as it will be the last for the season but who knew we would have 70s this late in November. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet Reports @richwmn. I was supposed to go Cartagena in 2017 on a Panama Canal transit but for some reason we had Aruba switched for that port. @rafinmdRoy I hope your Eurodam cruise is a go today. I will give you a hopeful Bon Voyage! 🍾 Thanks for the Daily care and celebrations report you provide for us daily. @dfishthe first pork chop recipe looks so yummy as does the Fish bowl cocktail and the white Bordeaux wine. My day started with an email from HA stating that our Shorex in Rio has been cancelled due to road closures for Carnival. There really wasn't much to choose from for someone that is terrified of heights. We were taking a monster truck jungle tour. Being offline mostly for the summer I missed all the tours in our Roll Call. I guess we will try to find a taxi to take us to the Botanical Garden. Prayers for all on our care list and the people of Ukraine. Lenda I am so happy to hear Steve is going back to his rehab. Have a wonderful day! aliaschief Posted November 10, 2022 #30 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Good morning! Currently 61 degrees and may get to 71. With every small gust of wind our deck is being pelted with acorns. Same on our front driveway. We are hoping to get some rain out of Nicole but it’s not going to have any harmful effect on us. Roy I hope your BHB is able to dock today and you can start your cruise. Looking at PTZTV cam on Pompano Beach shows the Atlantic calming unlike what we’re seeing in Daytona area. Thanks Rich for the Fleet Report. Roy thank you for your faithful Care/Celebration and all other reports. Have a great day.

StLouisCruisers Posted November 10, 2022 #33 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Thank you @cat shepardAnn for that report on the condo situation. Praying that @JAM37Julia and her DH (and MIL?) are all safe and have a plan for their future residence. @Quartzsite CruiserLenda good luck with Steve's move back into the rehab facility. That's great news! Thanks for your photos of Cartagena, too. I went back and didn't see any posted by you last time Safe drive to Waco. @ottahand7Nancy somehow I missed today's wine was white so might like to try that one. @HeartgroveJack thanks for the info on the USS Independence. Seasick Sailor Posted November 10, 2022 #34 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Good morning Dailyites. Praying for all on Roy's care list. Prayers out to those in Nicole's path. Also for those passengers injured onboard the Encore: "A gangway collapsed while a Norwegian Cruise Line ship was stopped in Panama on Tuesday, injuring multiple guests. The line's Norwegian Encore ship was in Panama City at the time. Passengers who sustained injuries were taken to a medical facility." Roy we are all rooting for you to be able to board today. White cupcake day? Is there a chocolate cupcake day? Sending everyone a great big hug today. Blessings and Cheers. 20 1

Rare rafinmd Posted November 10, 2022 #36 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Eurodam and Rotterdam are circling outside Port Everglades. No official word on opening but "Scheduled" arrival times have been moved to 0940 which is more realistic than 0600. My revised itinerary shows us leaving at 9PM and missing HMC and Curacao, then picking up our original itinerary. Roy 10
smitty34877 Posted November 10, 2022 #37 Share Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) Good morning to all. The news from Florida, especially about Daytona, is pretty scary. Prayers for safety to all in Nicole’s path. I would love a vanilla cupcake and salute accountants for their skill and accuracy. The quote is, to me, quite true. We have not been to the port. @dfish, Debbie, those recipes are great and I think I will try the first one. Everyone likes bok chow and I recently found some in our Asian market. Thanks. My executive chef approves and is searching for something nice for the vegetarians. I am very happy to report some pain relief from the injection yesterday. I was able to get out of bed without difficulty and found walking less painful as well. @Quartzsite Cruiser, Lenda, I am so glad Steve is on his way back to Rehab. I hope the transfer goes well. @HAL Sailer, Melissa, I hope all goes well with the testing and I am very happy you got there without incident. @rafinmd, Roy, Bon Voyage and a safe trip to the port. Enjoy your cruise! @ottahand7, I hope your brother is doing a little better today. He has had such a difficult time. JazzyV Posted November 10, 2022 #38 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. A salute to injured veterans, Accounting is important, and I only like vanilla cupcakes if they have chocolate icing. Interesting quote. Maybe on the meal (I don't like coconut due to texture). I'll take the drink and pass on the wine. I have been to Cartagena on my PC cruise, but only went to the little park near the docks, as my knee went out and I couldn't do my planned touring. It's the last warm day before the cold sets in. I did get the grass mowed yesterday, and the borough came and vacuumed up the leaves. So not a lot on the agenda today, although I do need to start getting things laid out for my upcoming trip. @HAL Sailer I'm glad you made it there safely. Glad to hear of no major issues, and hopefully water didn't infiltrate. Wow on all that debris still there. @rafinmd Bon Voyage! @cat shepard Thanks for mentioning @JAM37 . I saw a report on the news about those condos. So sad. And prayers for all in Nicole's path. @Quartzsite Cruiser Good luck with DH's transfer to rehab and I hope he hasn't lost much progress. @smitty34877 Good to hear the shot is starting to help. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay safe everyone. From my November 2021 post. I couldn't go far from the ship, unfortunately, as my knee didn't permit walking much that day. The Castle of San Luis de Bocachica, a military fortress that defended Cartagena. Rare rafinmd Posted November 10, 2022 #39 Share Posted November 10, 2022 I need to pack up and leave my hotel. If a dailyite could grab and post a screenshot of the Eurodam arriving, that would be great. Roy
StLouisCruisers Posted November 10, 2022 #40 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Nice photos Vanessa @JazzyV. Very colorful! Too bad about the knee though. It would have been nice if you could walk a little further but... Speaking of knees, my knee (baker's cyst?) is feeling a little better. I still do my physical therapy exercies twice a day three times a week. But won't be doing them on the cruise I would suspect so hope it doesn't flare up! We decided not to go get groceries this morning. DH was not in the mood for rushing around. Instead he checked that there were no leaves clogging the drain in the backyard, and in the gutter over our deck which required getting a stepladder out. Then he tied the gas grill to the deck railing with bungee cords and unattached the gas line to it. Expecting winds through 7 pm tomorrow.
kplady Posted November 10, 2022 #41 Share Posted November 10, 2022 Good morning! To add to @richwmnRich's list of days, today is the United States Marine Corps birthday - 247 years old! It was founded in Tun Tavern, a bar in Philadelphia....and I'm sure a lot of Marines have spent time in one of them over the years! My DH is a Marine, and he and his Marine friends all go out to dinner tonight to celebrate. The picture is from one of his tours in Vietnam. Hoping Nicole leaves Florida (and the rest of the US) alone! Have a great day, Laura 20

Mother Nature will bring an end to that pleasant weather starting this weekend. I used to tell my students that the first snowfall in our area south of you will arrive on the four days either side of the 15th of November. For that same reason we normally book cruises for that time of year. We'll be heading south just as the temperature plunges.
