We changed our Iona cruise to Arvia next year as it looked to have even more on offer for little ones (as you know mine is only 2!) Are they showing any kids films in the cinemas? I was thinking it might be a good time for a trial first cinema experience for him, seeing as its free! there has been a few I haven’t recognised, there is encanto on today, elf and jingle all the way the other day. I would say there will be a few to choose from when you are on here and then if he doesn’t like it you can always leave. I think arvia only has the high ropes which there is no way he will be able to go on I don’t even think my youngest would be tall enough and then the mini golf and escape room that is different. it’s a lovely ship. Slightly different experience to other p&o ones I’m finding. I think he will love it, my two do
kruzseeka Posted November 17, 2022 #27 Share Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) The Lido in Santa Cruz is great - think the girls would love it. You can walk from the port. Turn left along the main road and look for the Concert Hall (shades of the Sydney Opera House - you can't miss it). The Lido is just past the Concert Hall (nice cafe round the back for drinks etc - it looks over towards the Lido.). https://parquemaritimosantacruz.es/ It was incredibly cheap when we last went. Have a good day whatever you decide to do. P.S. Sorry the link comes over in Spanish - can't see a way to change it or send the English version. So perhaps do a search yourself and select English from the start. Here's another link https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g187482-d4028343-Reviews-Parque_Maritimo_Cesar_Manrique-Santa_Cruz_de_Tenerife_Tenerife_Canary_Islands.html Here is a pic of the Concert Hall - the view is of the back - those windows open up and that's the cafe. You can just see a little bit of the Lido on the left of the pic. https://arquitecturaviva.com/works/auditorio-de-tenerife-9 Edited November 17, 2022 by kruzseeka

Just docking in Tenerife so if anyone has any suggestions. We are looking at going to those paddling pools I think, and the market and the city. Not doing any excursions. some good and mediocre bits with iona but loving the holiday so far. Thanks for the excellent pictures - looks great! Have fun! Rare P&O SUE Posted November 22, 2022 #34 Share Posted November 22, 2022 I’m late to this thread Vamps but it all looks lovely. I do wish Iona was doing something else in the summer other than Norway as I want a sunny cruise! You’re going to find it very cold when you get home, the weather has definitely turned after our mild October.
