MamaMindy Posted November 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2022 (edited) Today was check in day for our Dec 11th cruise. They have an option for priority items: Priority Check in Priority Disembarkation Priority Tender $50 spa credit port day per passenger ( who knows if this is off a $200 or higher service or what)?? Has anyone does this? Is the "normal" onboard time for a low level returning customer, BRONZE, about 15-30 minutes later than HAVEN and elite guests? Thank you! Rare www3traveler Posted November 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2022 I have not done it, but it would not be worth it to me.
MoCruiseFan Posted November 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2022 Whether it is "worth it" to anyone else is not relevant. You have to read what all is included and determine if it is "worth it" to YOU.

If you thought about heading to the spa anyways, and had an early flight home, and were not using NCL transport (which sits and waits for passengers before heading to the airport), I would think this may be worth it. It does say you are limited to use the spa credit only face and body treatments, so you still must pay $50-100+ for your spa treatment. https://www.ncl.com/priority-access-faq

Do you mean “worth it” by inquiring if priority boarding actually gets you onboard faster to be … worth it? Perhaps the questions are: ”How much faster is priority to board?” ”How much faster is priority to disembark?” ”How much faster is priority to tender?”
davencl Posted November 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2022 FWIW priority check in is not related to boarding time.
alchemist4 Posted November 21, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2022 My partner and I did it. While it did not help at check in cause of a huge security line (they really should allow Priority Access to join with Haven in their own security line), it paid for itself because we knew we were getting spa treatments. The best part was the free room service breakfast. if it’s more than $99 though, pass.
MamaMindy Posted November 21, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Thank you for comments that helped fill in the gaps on some of the questions I had. To summarize with details: The spa treatment is limited to face and body treatments. The room service fee is waived ( because we know the menu items were free) Probably not a real value after waiting on normal boarding security times, to get a few extra "get on board" early minutes Agree, it's worth what it's worth to each traveler but the details is what helps make the decision. Thanks for pulling those out of the "package".
Rare DCGuy64 Posted November 21, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Definitely not worth it for us. Our upcoming cruise is 9 days, so it's $179. The spa offer is really like a gift certificate, $50 per person means we pay $179 for $100 of value. The priority embarkation and disembarkation don't mean anything to us, we're getting on the ship at 11:30 am as it is. The room service is free for us anyway (meaning the standard breakfast items), so that just leaves the canapés. Not worth it for basically $79. Oh and we only have 2 port days, so again the spa deal just doesn't make sense.
