Tazdeb2180 Posted November 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2022 Hello Everyone, we are thinking of booking an interior cabin 8671 on Harmony of the seas but it is near Dazzles and the elevators. Has anyone stayed near this cabin on any Oasis class ship and will it be noisy?
ARandomTraveler Posted November 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2022 I'm on Symphony in a room that is right next to the elevators, which are right next to the door to get into Dazzles on the upper floor (dazzles is 2 floors). Not your exact room number, but one that's very close. Yes it's definitely loud. The first night I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, but the next night when I walked by the door into the venue, I realized it was a music venue and that was where the noise was coming from. Last night the music went til midnight. Tonight it's supposed to end at 10pm. I was able to go to bed with the noise, but did think to myself that there are probably a lot of people who would be really annoyed at the noise because it definitely sounds like you're next to a music venue. If you're a light sleeper, pick a different room. If you can ignore the noise, it's a great location, very convenient and easy to get to your room and to other areas of the ship. Cruise a holic Posted November 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) Why not move now? If other cabins available grab one. The "rule" is cabins above and cabins below, midship are the best. Why deal with negative possibilities? Tazdeb2180 Posted November 22, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted November 22, 2022 I was offered this cabin free as a casino perk. I can upgrade for a fee or take this cabin or another free interior at the very front of the ship. I have to decide if noise between 6-midnight is worth it or is the constant threat of up and down motion.

We like the location, close to the elevators and we walk through Central Park every night before we call it a night.
Rufftackle Posted November 22, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 22, 2022 Can confirm after sailing on Harmony last week, cabins by Dazzles are to be avoided at all costs. It was so loud inside of Dazzles we had to leave because they had the volume cranked up -- think a Linkin Park concert but 10x as loud.

I would pay to upgrade NOT to be at the front of the ship. I'd take the noise before the shaky, wobbly front of the ship.

We snagged a VP suite on Mariner for December, and I'll be beneath the bridge for 9 months on Serenade starting late next year
Rare John&LaLa Posted November 23, 2022 #12 Share Posted November 23, 2022 Not sure about Harmony, but 8671 is the same location as 8673, a drydock added cabin on Oasis. It's super tiny with zero storage

I honestly experienced more vibration in the aft of Allure than I can recall in the bow Years ago we had on OS on NCL Gem. It even had a forward facing balcony. It was a December TA from Barcelona to Boston. Now that ship was rocking once we left Azores Edited November 23, 2022 by John&LaLa
