We booked a hotel that is part of the Marriott chain call AC Barcelona. Using points.   Hope it's not too far from everything

It is not bad located but not in city centre.

It is located in the north of the city just in front of the beach (if you wanna beach, just walk for some mettres. Barcelona has sandy beaches!!!). It is a neigbourhood that was really renewed for 1992 Olympics. There's a small harbour that was created for nautical sports and remain in use for those small vessels. Another area was renewed for a Cultural forum that had place in 2004 in Barcelona. This is, a new neighbourhood upper-style but not in city centre.

In any case, there's one underground station just besides the hotel, line 4, and will help you to reach centre. It is very easy to move.

Also check H10 Urquinaona Plaza.

All very near each other in a great area.

We have just stayed here and it was great. Good location, lovely hotel and rooms, rooftop pool.

We also booked the AC Barcelona for a two day post-cruise stay using a free night cert and some points.

We've been to Barcelona a few times before so we don't necessarily feel we need to be in the heart of it.  While the location is still a little further out than we want to be as it would be nice to quickly hop back to the hotel for a mid-day pitstop, we're ok with taking a taxi/rideshare or the metro for a 10 to 20min ride for the couple of days we're in town.

Thanks.  We have also been before.  Will just be there for 1 day/night. Hopefully will find somewhere interesting to eat.
