1cruiselvr Posted December 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2022 We are sailing on Westerdam Feb 3 2023, boarding in SINGAPORE. My husband has heard you can buy flower arrangements cheap there. He wants to buy some to bring onboard for our cabin. Does anybody have experience with that or knows whether they allow this? Its a nice gesture but I'm not sure its allowed. Thx for the help. Rare Mary229 Posted December 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2022 In the past it was no problem but recent reports indicate a change of policy You may be disappointed
Rare kazu Posted December 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2022 Those on a cruise reported they couldn’t. I was on another ship and they let them come on and ironically, it was the same port. they did check for insects but I had no problem (Madeira), B.C. (Before covid) I brought flowers on all the time in the right ports where it was cheap. Hawaii, ports in Europe, etc. The worst that happens is they say no and. I wouldn’t be above asking for a security officer. They are not on the prohibited list. HAL needs to get consistent.
Cruising-along Posted December 31, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2022 I have brought flowers onboard before Covid and also in the past few months. I had no problem -- this was in Europe.
