Change to Med Cruise Itinerary and Nonrefundable Deposit

Recommended Posts

Hello! I just received an email notifying me that the itinerary for our 8/27/23 Med cruise has changed. (Those emails are seldom good!) The Mykonos stop was replaced with Athens. While some may not be bothered by this change, it's a big deal to us. We've been to Athens and chose this itinerary because 3 of the 4 ports (including Mykonos) were new for us. Now 2 of the 4 are repeats. We also had a really fun independent tour booked for Mykonos. My question: We booked a nonrefundable deposit. If we decide to switch to a different cruise, will they waive the change fee since there has been a substantial (to us) itinerary change? I'll try calling RCI after work today, but I was wondering whether anyone here has had experience with this.

Thank you!

I changed to a complete different itinerary on a cruise. I called and asked about keeping the same booking  number and RCL charged me an additional $200.00 on top of a previously paid deposit and applied it to the cost of the cruise
