Penn Mom Posted January 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2023 (edited) I am thinking about getting an inside room for our next NCL cruise. I am concerned about the noise level of these rooms, or should I look elsewhere? Edited January 19, 2023 by Penn Mom

zqvol Posted January 20, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2023 There is no medical Center on deck 13 of the Escape.

Have never been on the Escape, but readily available deck plans show the medical center on deck 13, just aft of the forward elevators. Takes up a great deal of the interior midship space. Karaboudjan Posted January 20, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2023 Per this recent thread and the included link it is indeed on Deck 13:

SeaHunt Posted January 20, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 20, 2023 Guess cruisemapper could be incorrect but check this: Review of Norwegian Escape deck 13 (Hospital) Medical Center is the NCL Escape ship’s infirmary (onboard hospital) operated by resident doctors/physicians and nurses on 24-hour call duty. Opening hours are between 8 am and 8 pm. The infirmary is equipped with defibrillators, external pacemakers, pulse oximeters, an ECG (electrocardiograph machine), thrombolytic and lab equipment. Treatments at the ship hospital are equivalent to a private doctor’s visit. All treatments and medications are at extra charge. The only exception is Bonine (seasickness medication) also available at no charge at the ship’s Reception (24 hours). Payments are made by the NCL boarding pass. General health insurance policies do not apply, so buying cruise health insurance is recommended. https://www.cruisemapper.com/deckplans/Norwegian-Escape-878/deck13-1412 Or on the NCL Escape pocket guide:

cruiserbear55 Posted January 20, 2023 #11 Share Posted January 20, 2023 Can we all put this to rest now and agree that the Medical Center is on Deck 13?
cruiserbear55 Posted January 20, 2023 #12 Share Posted January 20, 2023 After all the back and forth, the OPs original question,( and reason for this thread), remains unanswered. My personal guess is it would be relatively very quiet, compared to being under high traffic areas. Like lounges with music/dance floors; pool area, casino; buffet, etc. Maybe someone who has stayed in an interior on deck 12 will chime in. Rare mking8288 Posted January 20, 2023 #13 Share Posted January 20, 2023 Unless NCL relocated the entire Medical Center from Deck 13 elsewhere - I can vouch and confirm, 100% that it has always been on Deck 13 Fwd, just behind the bank of elevators, behind a set of fire doors that's kept open except during emergencies. The door to gain access into the MC, including a waiting area & reception for clinical services, is beyond the 2nd door - with the coin-dispensing OTC meds cabinet on the wall cabinet to the left, exterior to the center entrance. We had stayed on Deck 13 Fwd in 2019 and walked daily passing the area multiple times, and knew what's been there all along. Current deck plan just removed the description & make it a white space - and isn't shown anywhere else on NCL's official deck plans. What's on Deck 5 are Guppies Nursery and further back in the middle section, Splash Academy. Getaway & Breakaway has the MC on Deck 5, not the Escape by design. As to helping with the questions about noise below - sorry, can't help with that.
