Catherine Claus Posted January 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2023 We received our medallions but they were white instead of black. Are we able to simply exchange them at the pursers desk when we board? Has anyone else experienced this? This is the second time for us. Am I missing something when ordering them? It seems that Princess knows what color they should be. It is on our paperwork for that cruise.

Thrak Posted January 21, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2023 I've read that the White medallions are for inaugural sailings or new ships. What ship are you going to be on?
Catherine Claus Posted January 21, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Thanks, we will just go to the Pursers desk upon arrival. We are on the Discovery Jan 28. Mexican Riveria
Astro Flyer Posted January 21, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Just now, Catherine Claus said: Thanks, we will just go to the Pursers desk upon arrival. We are on the Discovery Jan 28. Mexican Riveria We received the white faced Medallion on Discovery’s first two cruises last Spring which are for the inaugural year of sailing. The SeaWitch was in the color of a passenger’s Captain’s Circle level so ours were black. I guess you could go to the GSD to ask about an exchange but we kept ours as a remembrance of Discovery’s first year of sailing. 😊
koreakruiser Posted January 21, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2023 The white ones are more exclusive. As stated, they signify the inaugural season for the Discovery. We were also on the first two cruises. Not sure when the "season" officially ends...probably when they run out of white ones.

Guest ldtr Posted January 21, 2023 #11 Share Posted January 21, 2023 with the white background status is reflected in the color of the logo. Customer Service, if yours needs to be replaced, issues the same status color on white background.
