Rare Laszlo Posted January 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2023 One of the best and most usual Haven perks I found was being able to use the crew elevator. This was taken on the Getaway last week

Rare Greenpea2 Posted January 21, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Have to agree. Disembarkation is a breeze.
Rare BirdTravels Posted January 21, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Escorted disembarkation is one of the benefits of being in the Haven. It works great if you are staying in the Haven complex. But, 1/3 to 1/2 of the Haven rooms are not in the Haven complex and it takes more time to get up to the Haven to ride down, than just disembarking on your own.

If you are staying in the aft of the ship I agree..... or maybe not. On our recent GA cruise the only way off was the forward gangways. We were on deck 14 and it was very easy walking up to 16 then going down. The elevators always seem to be crowded
Booboochase Posted January 21, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2023 We have enjoyed that perk as well on the Encore - didn't even think about having to disembark when I booked our upcoming aft Haven on deck 11 of the Escape...yikes

The last morning we went to the Haven for breakfast and just stayed in the lounge till we were escorted off the ship. 4
Rare wolft927 Posted January 21, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 21, 2023 We also have a aft haven for our cruise in April, the crew elevator is great not just for debark morning but for all ports, especially if your in a port with a ton of ships like Cozumel, great to be first off and getting a cab to paradise beach fast
Wedgie Wedgie Posted January 21, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 21, 2023 (edited) We were in an aft suite on the Getaway in Nov. We brought our luggage to the Haven at 7:30. We found the elevator bank closest to forward the easiest to get there. We were the first ones off the ship and in our car by 7:50. Rare cruiseny4life Posted January 21, 2023 #10 Share Posted January 21, 2023 We've never stayed in the Haven complex, but love disembarkation from the Haven. At least we get to sit around and wait, rather than wait in line. It's such a breeze! Even from the aft.

When we've had non-haven proper cabins (Haven Spa Cabin for example), we've packed up, said our good-byes to our Steward and Butler at our room, and then gone upstairs for one last Haven Breakfast (my favorite meal up there). We are then up there, ready for disembarkation. It also provides us with the chance to say additional farewells to additional staff or even some fellow cruisers we've met along the way.
Rare 1025cruise Posted January 21, 2023 #12 Share Posted January 21, 2023 I was in a non-Haven suite on the Pearl. All suite guests (Haven and non-Haven) met in Lotus Garden and were escorted out the crew door in the back straight to the gangway. That was probably one of the best benefits (outside of breakfast in Moderno each morning).
Booboochase Posted January 21, 2023 #13 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Great info - thank you all! All I can picture is us struggling with our luggage to get up to the Haven lol! We always just keep our luggage with us and make a quick exit because by the end of the cruise I am ready to go! Kind of like when I go out to eat - when I'm done, time to go! (unless I have a drink in front of me - that's another story)

We either met in Moderno or near Maltings for each port to disembark and used the crew elevators or stairwells. In Seattle we met the concierge in the Stardust Theater and walked right out to scan our cards one last time. A great perk.
complawyer Posted January 21, 2023 #15 Share Posted January 21, 2023 ive said previously in many other posts, the ability to be escorted off the ship by the concierge, is in and of itself, worth the price of admission! 2
Rare Laszlo Posted January 21, 2023 Author #16 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Another added bonus was when returning to the ship. Twice one of the concierge's was outside, saw us and took us right up in the elevator again. They stopped at deck 14 where our cabin was and let us get off
david_sobe Posted January 21, 2023 #17 Share Posted January 21, 2023 I could care less about priority embarkation. The ships board pretty fast unless there is a problem. However on the last day, priority disembarkation is definitely the best perk.

We had a nice relaxing breakfast in Moderno (that's where the Haven/Suite breakfast and lunch were served) and waited until last call. There were still a few hundred people in line so it was nice not having to wait at that point.

Rare 1025cruise Posted January 21, 2023 #22 Share Posted January 21, 2023 We were locals, so no reason to stick around. Get off the ship, get to the car, and head home (after stopping to pick up the doggy first).
