Nippy Sweetie Posted January 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Just that really. I know the answer to seasickness is to sit under a tree! However, I love the Viking ocean ships and the whole experience on board and wondered if there was an itinerary that's in calmer waters.
d9704011 Posted January 21, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2023 How about the Vikjng Shores and Fjords itinerary? Relatively short hops between port, little opean ocean transit and time spent in the fjords.

Rare Sunflower & The Scientist Posted January 21, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2023 The Great Lakes isn't oceans, but it was very smooth and quiet. I'm sure it would depend on which one you took, but Thunder Bay to Milwaukee was super calm.
Nippy Sweetie Posted January 21, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Both sound good thanks. Were booked for the Northern Lights cruise in March. Not looking forward to the North Sea. 😟

Rare J80crew Posted January 22, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2023 I also suffer from seasickness and while you can’t really know that any itinerary will be without a bad day, one thing I have learned for sure is that I need an itinerary that begins with a port day. Every time I’ve been on a cruise that starts with a sea day, I lose that day. But when we’re in port the first day, I’m okay the rest of the time unless we hit bad weather and rough seas. It’s why we opt for the Caribbean out of San Juan rather than Miami. And even if we run into a bad day or two, being on the ship is worth it! Good luck!
