lovetotraveltx Posted January 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2023 We have two nights in Bordeaux before our River Cruise at the end of March. Have never been. What are the must do's/eats? We enjoy local cuisine on our travels. We are staying at the Renaissance Bordeaux. We will have breakfast included, looking for lunches, dinners, treats, coffees... Bordeaux is a very attractive large town to explore, with the additional option of visiting vineyards in the surrounding areas i suggest you look first of all at the excellent Official Bordeaux Tourist Info website which we have found very helpful in the past. Click the little flag for the english language version for easier browsing..It has a huge amount of info with online brochures and maps, DIY walks, public transport info and routes, and much much more. As for where to dine, check Tripadvisor Bordeaux restaurant reviews to see which might appeal to you most, and there are usually links to restaurant websites and their menus. We just want to stay in the city as we are doing a 7 night Bordeaux River Cruise after our 2 nights here. Do you know of any restaurants personally, or a nice cafe... edinburgher Posted January 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) Do you know of any restaurants personally, or a nice cafe. There could have been changes including business closures and price and/ or menu changes since 2020, so as suggested above, better you check current reviews on eg Tripadvisor. Oysters are popular, cultivated in the nearby Bay of Arcachon, a little to the south of Bordeaux. Edited January 27, 2023 by edinburgher
