tunafish Posted March 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2023 What do you guys think about the subject? There is so little information regarding the excursion in the printed materials or cabin TV ads. I also noted that asking excursions desk directly does not produce more info also. Why do you think is that? Of course some excursions are clear but things like "city tour" or particular specifics about exact place/places to be visited, time allowed on site is as blurry as possible sometimes. Do they afraid of giving false promises?
TheBucketLister Posted March 19, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2023 My guess is Royal Caribbean doesn't want to be to blame for incorrect information. Since Royal is not the vendor they don't want to mention something that the vendor does not deliver on or did not provide to Royal as included. If they were to do that Royal would have to eat the cost in the form of a refund, since the vendor did not make those specifics to Royal in the form of the excursion description, thus Royal would still have to pay the vendor. Same thing on the vendor side, they don't want to include something, and then during the day of the tour something happens for whatever reason, and then the customer complains to Royal, then they refund the customer, then hold back payment to the vendor. It more than likely all relates back to money lost.
