Rare Vict0riann Posted April 2, 2023 Author #201 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Pat had the Club Orange special. It was the veal chop with mushroom risotto. It was huge, but delicious. I just had a taste. 9
Florida_gal_50 Posted April 2, 2023 #202 Share Posted April 2, 2023 It is huge. When I had it I was just told it was veal. I was thinking it was a veal cutlet which I love. When they brought it out I thought it was a tomahawk steak it was so huge.

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 2, 2023 Author #205 Share Posted April 2, 2023 We’re at Half Moon Cay now. It looks calm. We’ll go ashore later. We didn’t make it to the Orange Party last night. Maybe next time! today’s Daily Program
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 2, 2023 Author #206 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Captain just came on the speaker. We had a medical emergency last night and unfortunately the patient died. Now we have not been cleared by the Bahamas to go ashore and we are working on that. “Please stay away from the gangway”. It’s 10 to 8. Some people must be in a hurry. We haven’t had breakfast yet. 3

I saw a video showing the amount of prep work and food preparation ahead of time that goes into this island beach day. A ton (maybe not literally) of food goes over to feed everyone their barbecue lunch. If the day is cancelled due to weather/seas I imagine they have to pivot and try to use a lot of that picnic lunch for lunch on the ship, etc. It's great your day is nice and everyone can enjoy Half Moon Cay.🏖️

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 2, 2023 Author #212 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Another announcement from Captain Timmers, he said we are still awaiting clearance. A medical team is coming from the nearest island (Eleuthera), I guess to ascertain the cause of death. It will be a while.
BigMattT Posted April 2, 2023 #213 Share Posted April 2, 2023 I wonder how late is too late for them to even start a tender operation for time on the island.

ger_77 Posted April 2, 2023 #215 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Oh my gosh, how distressing for those involved! I'm sorry you might not be able to get to HMC, but considering the circumstances, can understand why it may not be possible.

Rare Vict0riann Posted April 2, 2023 Author #219 Share Posted April 2, 2023 (edited) We did eventually get ashore. It was easy for 5 stars and CO, we were ushered through right away. We didn’t stay long, just a bit of a wander, it was quite warm. Then we came back to the ship on an almost empty ferry. We went up to the Lido for lunch, I had a very tasty chicken taco and a slice of berry pie. The only bird I saw - I didn’t find the chickens. Rare Vict0riann Posted April 3, 2023 Author #224 Share Posted April 3, 2023 The others went to Tamarind early yesterday, but we went to Mass, which was SRO, and then we went to CO for dinner, just the two of us. We went to the shops to buy some Pringles for sailaway. Boy, they don’t give them away! I went past the Music Walk, the Rolling Stone was very popular . More SRO, I guess people move from one room to the other as the shows start. Today, most passengers are disembarking, we have to go to the World Stage to be cleared, go ashore for a bit, and then come back on board. We will be 10 or 11 for sailaway, and I am finding I cannot get the webcam to work on my phone on board, so I hope someone will be taking pictures. Tonight will be Pinnacle for dinner. Rolling Stone Rock Room last night., and crispy sweet and sour shrimp for dinner. Today’s Daily Program And here we are! 15
Rare Vict0riann Posted April 3, 2023 Author #225 Share Posted April 3, 2023 We are waiting in the World Stage with the rest of those who are not planning to go ashore for the day. We were told there was a blown fuse and small fire when they were attaching the gangways, now there is just one gangway, and so everything is going to be delayed , we must just be patient.
