room with a view Posted March 28, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2023 How can you determine the position of the bed on balcony cabins ? Much prefer to have the bed closer to the balcony ..and the sofa/couch nearer the door . Deck 11 or 12 midships . thanks ,
Two Wheels Only Posted March 28, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2023 Without actual photos or video of a specific stateroom, the next best option is to look at the deck plan and look for the wider part of the stateroom. If you look at the curved walls between staterooms, the wider part of the room is where the bed will be. HOWEVER, there may be errors on the deck plan and the curved wall is drawn incorrectly. Perhaps we have a different meaning of bulge. Where the wall bulges into the room is the sofa.

BTW, I haven't heard anyone mention this lately but the back on the couch swings open to provide more storage. I didn't like the wave wall, I thought it made the cabin feel smaller than it was.

I have 2 sons that are over 6 foot & neither had an issue once we figured that out. They are normal size beds but they slide under the headboard
