Bon Voyage Ruth C

Thank you, Jennie. That's so sweet of you to remember---you've got the day exactly right!

It's exactly one year today since my heart attack and I thank God that I'm alive and able to travel His beautiful world.

OK, that's enough schmatlz.

If there's Internet available on the ship I'll be doing the customary reports, so if there's something in particular you want to know about the new Noordam, please ask.

Hi Ruth,

I, too, am so glad that you are alive and able to travel this beautiful world. And, hey, everyone is entitled to a little schmaltz every once in a while.

Have a wonderful trip. At least you are "braving" the Vista class - I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm still hogging those "S" and "R" class ships.

I'm looking forward to reading all the reports from "the Happy Wanderer".

Fair winds and following seas.;)

Valerie:)

A happy anniversary of a tragic event...but being healthy enough for a cruise one year later is truly spectacular!! How wonderful for you! It will make the sailing all the sweeter.

Have a wonderful time on your cruise....we'll all be anxious for your report!

Bon Voyage Ruth!!! Here are a few quotations from lakechamplainchocolates.com for your edification:

"The chocoholics 12-step program: NEVER BE MORE THAN 12 STEPS AWAY FROM CHOCOLATE!" - Terry Moore

"There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE" - Linda Grayson, "The Pickwick Papers"

"I am a serious chocoholic. For the serious chocoholic, chocolate is better than sex. If you believe that, you really need to meet that special someone who can change your mind. If you have met that special someone and still believe that, I really need to know where you get your chocolate!!!" - Anonymous

"Life is like a box of chocolates -- you never know what you're going to get." - Forrest Gump in "Forrest Gump" (1994)

Thank you all! I am truly blest to have you all as cyber-friends.

I will go and enjoy every single moment of this cruise with some friends old and yet-to-be, because that's what I do.

er, Dave, about all those chocolate fantasies---some of them we can't talk about on a family-type board.

Lisa, where can I buy that suitcase? :D

Thank you for the new signature lines, Dan. I'll see you and Barbara before we know it.

And to those I didn't mention by name, I still know that you wish me well. Thank you.

RuthC-

I was looking at the Rev's beautiful pictures of the Noordam, and I have to say, I think they designed that Piano Bar just for you!! Those sleek red stools are just beautiful and I am sure you will enjoy yourself night after night!! Maybe they should call it "RuthC's Place"!!

Bon Voyage!

Imagine my surprise when I linked up to tomc's radio broadcast this morning and heard him make mention of me sailing. :) Very nice.

Sher, I hope the red in the Piano Bar doesn't clash with my clothes! (Shouldn't surprise you that I'm a red kinda gal. ;) ) I found myself drawn in there while attending the Mariners' Reception in Boston. Got real comfy real fast. Think I found my place in life. :D

Suitcase (singular, Jim ;) ) will be at the front door as soon as I climb out of what I'm wearing (it's coming along).
