drscooby74 Posted May 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2023 Does anyone know of the smoking locations on this ship? Do they ever at any point not allow smoking while on board? Carnival does not allow smoking anywhere on the ship during embarkment or disembarkment, that's why I ask... Thank you

SargassoPirate Posted May 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2023 (edited) I was on the Caribbean Princess back in January and the smoking area was on the starboard promenade toward the aft just outside the crossover doors, and there was also a smoking area above the Melanoma Deck, but I forget which side. DiRonT Posted May 10, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2023 Although I would prefer complete nonsmoking cruises, I am ok with Princess' policy IF they actually enforced it. Last 2 cruises (7 and 10 days) on Discovery almost 1/2 of slot machines were smoking and most people sitting there smoking were not playing the machines (not even pretending to). Also, did not have any non-smoking nights in the casino.

This is because they are bunkering - taking on fuel. Princess is the same, so I imagine it is a fleet wide safety mandate from the parent company. Meant to say Holland America also does not allow smoking on open decks when bunkering, not Princess. I realize OP was asking specifically about the Caribbean Princess.
