Boarding process in Rome

Recommended Posts

The sip will be mid route from Barcelona so there is no need to have to wait for the ship to get the all clear before you can board, I got there an hour before my time and walked straight on, there were no lines at all.

We sailed from “Rome” in October.  With hotel check out time & allowing too much time to walk to the port shuttle area in Civitecchia, we were over an an hour early at check in.  We apologized & asked if we could just sit and wait, they assured us, it was fine to continue to board.  We were eating at the buffet an hour before we were supposed to be checking in!

We have a question. Staying at a place next to the McDonald's. It shows that the Royal Caribbean bus leaves from a block away. Is this easily walkable with luggage?

Also, can you bring water or other nonalcoholic beverages on in Civitavechia?

Walk past McDonalds up the slight incline away from sea for about 100 metres and turn left.

Go down this road for about six or seven minutes walkable even with luggage and you will come to where the bus leaves from there will also be numerous taxis there you really can’t miss it.

You will be able to carry water etc onboard.

So, true. Nobody checked anything, got to the port at 10:30am, checkin done immediately, they. The ship was cleared for boarding 10:45, we didnt manage to even finish our drink in the terminal and our boarding group (41) was called. Were sipping drinks onboard at 11am. Check in was seamless and very efficient.
