I would have to ask these guests if they had lost their luggage. His wife fully dressed the ship could have laundered his clothes overnight he’s no Salvador Dali

bitob Posted July 15, 2023 #305 Share Posted July 15, 2023 I inquired u were right lost luggage but she was fully dressed. Odd. i cross pack no idea how they will ever get luggage to the small places we are going. if he has insurance he could purchase a few things in the shop and get reimbursed this is why I ship my luggage to my pre cruise hotel.
Rare spinnaker2 Posted July 15, 2023 #306 Share Posted July 15, 2023 When our luggage lost the crew were busy finding us clothes to wear. It was an interesting assortment of sartorial splendor. I never considered wearing the bathrobe. I could have done a great toga with a bedsheet. Fortunately luggage was delivered just before departure and no one got to see my rendition of a toga draped on a much older but wiser, body.

I also use air tags. Double tracking. Luggage forward will get your luggage to you. Extensively tracked. An airline? Lol also my luggage arrives a week before I do. Plenty of time to handle glitches

I think the bathrobe might be more of a sartorial statement than what you can buy in the shop.

Better to have luggage arrive a day or more early at the pre-cruise hotel. Offers a chance to recover from any issues.

I signed up for shipment to the ship for the sport coats, slacks, shirts, ties - etc. I need to have the bag packed so it can be shipped 2 weeks before the sail date. Seems like that should be plenty of time for the shipping company to "recover from any issues." I have never done this before - never needed so much clothing 🙃 - so I'm definitely no expert. I guess it boils down to which is more likely to lose your luggage - the airline, the hotel, or the shipping company - and which shipment option is most convenient.
