TrueCruiseaholic Posted September 23, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted September 23, 2023 Probably not since Zenith never received that in the first place. I don't have any more information than what was related to us by guests onboard Solstice.
zitsky Posted September 23, 2023 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) And then the complaints from Zenith that it’s too crowded and why do they let people from suites in? Can’t they at least throw out the Sky Suite passengers? 😂 Edited September 23, 2023 by zitsky 2

They actually have the most space so it seems kind of strange that it would be limited to the lounge. I would assume not Luminae as that could possibly get too crowded. But I use the lounge the most when in suites so I'd love to have that back when I'm not.

I think initially Michael's Club access was only upper level suites 1

Every warm sea day we have had on both Edge and Apex the Sun Deck was full, finding a lounger between 10-3 could be a challenge. Unfortunately our only Beyond cruise we had lousy weather so never got to use the sun deck.

But I definitely had problems finding a good seat, especially one in the shade.

But the way they are making changes these days no one can accurately predict what's coming. I am of the opinion though that they will not add that benefit to Zenith. Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted September 24, 2023 #13 Share Posted September 24, 2023 Wonder if it applies to high-rolling casino players? Note, that you need some serious play in order to get to the casino status that allows what it calls "VIP Lounge" access which is the Retreat
Orator Posted September 24, 2023 #14 Share Posted September 24, 2023 Seems to be "on a space available" basis, which is more than fine with me. I, for one will now consider Celebrity.

Does it mean that the senior officer night Zeniths are not allowed because there are too many suite guests present? Will Zeniths already in the lounge be ejected to allow space for entering suite guest? Does it mean that on TA cruises with 30+ Zeniths none have access the entire cruise ??? TommyD3 Posted September 24, 2023 #19 Share Posted September 24, 2023 We have been Zenith since before it was a level and never had restricted access to Michael's Club / The Retreat until the Pandemic shut down. Sounds like Blu access for Suite guests, maybe one can get in, maybe not !!!
jelayne Posted September 24, 2023 #20 Share Posted September 24, 2023 We avoid the Retreat Lounge on Senior Officers night, never understood the why it was such a big deal.

I have this chart from 2020, prior to the November 2020 changes that removed this access. While some benefits have comments about availability, there is no such comment for the Zenith access benefit.

Today, with so many people aware of the dangers of the sun, more shade should be available, just as smoking areas are limited- so should sunny areas be limited. My DH has had multiple pre cancerous skin lesions that had to be removed and one melanoma on his nose. It required plastic surgery, but fortunately he is fine. Happened about three years ago. In addition to skin cancer, I am concerned with wrinkles. It is especially important to keep your children well protected in the sun. Wear rash guard type swim jackets. The sun can be dangerous.

On the Blue Chip Club listing of benefits it shows Sapphire and above have access to the VIP lounge. 1

We found a nice covered shady spot at the outdoor area on Beyond but went early and once on a port day..no crowds. Of course no shade at the little pool. To avoid the sun, best to stay indoors or use the Solarium pool.

Also similar shady spot on other side of the pool. But why not have a true awning for those of us who want shade? I see people toasting themselves and cannot understand why they think it looks good. In a few more years, they may be sorry they did! Edited September 24, 2023 by Cruise a holic
