Cruisepurl Posted October 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2023 Just over 4 weeks ago we cancelled a Princess cruise under the "Cancel for any reason" clause of the AON Princess Platinum Plan. Princess was very quick to refund the cost of the excursion we had booked and the port fees but we are still waiting for the FCCs to be issued. I phoned the general Princess contact number and got nowhere. I asked them to transfer me to Customer Relations but was told that wasn't possible and was advised to email them. I did that and got an automatic reply saying that they were very busy and that someone would be in touch asap. Again, nothing. I then tried calling a CVP with whom I'd had no prior contact but who had sent us the usual introductory email. I left a voicemail as she never seems to answer her phone and, again, no response. We are waiting for these FCCs so that we can book a future cruise. This is so frustrating. Any ideas about next steps?
tls1007 Posted October 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2023 Did you personally file a claim with AOn? If you go to there website , submit claim with booking number, they should get back to you shortly. If just awaiting fccs you should have them applied shortly after contacting the AON website. Our TA made the claim on our behalf. She forwarded an email from AON saying that they had asked Princess to apply the FCCs and that any correspondence should be with the cruise line, not with them. I don't have an AON reference number so can't check our status on their website. However, I'll check with our TA in case she has the AON reference number. Thanks for the suggestion. Steelers36 Posted October 17, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2023 @Cruisepurl, I have another suggestion. Book the cruise you want now and pay deposit. When you receive the FCC's, the should auto-post to your booking and reduce the balance owing. If not, just have you r TA contact PCL to apply - or they can do it self-serve in POLAR.

Thanks for this @Steelers36. Maybe this is the best way to go. Otherwise we could be waiting a long time .....
Cruisepurl Posted October 19, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted October 19, 2023 This saga is now at an end. Our TA phoned Princess this morning and was told that they hadn't received a request for FCCs from AON. She then contacted AON who "actioned" the file and, just like that, we have the FCCs. Phew. 1

Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted October 19, 2023 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2023 It is SO aggravating when you cannot depend on information that you have been given from "knowledgeable authorities!"

Cruisintimer Posted October 19, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 19, 2023 We just had the same thing happen and I called to book a different cruise. I just gave the Princess representative the old booking number and he transferred the credits to the new booking. It went smoothly, hope it does for you too.
