goofysmom99 Posted November 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2023 I haven't seen the dinner mentioned in quite awhile. Here on Constellation, I'm told there is a supply issue so the dinner isn't being offered. Same for the fleet, or maybe ship location?

I don't recall seeing a Veuve Clicquot dinner most recently, post-COVID, on our X cruises but could be ship specific. Not sure.
goofysmom99 Posted November 8, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted November 8, 2023 They had one on last year's Connie TA but not this year. Tonight in Tuscan, they're doing Chef's Market Tour dinner for 25 people. Tour was today in Palma de Mallorca.

We did the Chef's Market Tour/dinner in both with the one in Malaga being the one we definitely enjoyed the most and likely would not do again in the Caribbean. Not due to the chef as it was the same for both.
bikerunner Posted November 8, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Last one I saw was on my Connie cruise right after start up. I prefer the Veuve Clicquot over the Chefs table dinner. Hoping I see it on the Silhouette coming up and or in April.

cruzzzinma Posted November 8, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2023 We had it on the Solstice in Oct 2022
lovecruzin Posted November 8, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Have done it 2 times on Solstice since the restart, I want to say Feb 2023 was the most recent. Great meal and wine. Wish it was offered on EC.
Rare DaKahuna Posted November 9, 2023 #9 Share Posted November 9, 2023 We signed up for one on our Millennium cruise last April/May but with was cancelled when a party of four cancelled.
Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted November 9, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2023 We enjoyed it on the Solstice May 2023. We also had a party of 4 cancel, but the dinner wasn't cancelled, and so it was us, along with another couple.
goofysmom99 Posted November 9, 2023 Author #11 Share Posted November 9, 2023 I think the VC dinner was one of LLP's creations but since her departure, the dinner and the VC & X association seem to have departed, too.
CHEZMARYLOU Posted November 9, 2023 #12 Share Posted November 9, 2023 There was a sold out VC dinner on Reflection in January. Equinox did not offer it in September. They definitely had VC on board because we got it in our suite instead of the alcohol.

But seems to be radio silence about VC dinners since spring. And since all the VC varieties appear on the wine list, I doubt the cover story about supply shortage of it. I'm guessing it has just quietly disappeared, along with so many other special things. Oh well.
Laurab23 Posted November 9, 2023 #14 Share Posted November 9, 2023 I asked about VC dinner on my May cruise and it was not offered on the cruise. Laura
