232271 Posted March 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2006 We sailed disney and saved over $1000 going thru an angency that buys rooms in blocks. Does any travel agency do this for the Carnival Conquest, so far no luck finding any discounts. thanks!!

Steamboatin Posted March 20, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2006 All travel agents have discount prices for Carnival Cruise Lines. They are called military discounts. Only problem with obtaining one is that you have to first earn the right to quialify for it.

newmexicoNita Posted March 20, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I don't know when you saved the money, but for the most part all agents now have the same or very similar prices. Even when buying in bulk, the only savings would be, if at the time the group rate was held, the rates were lower than say, a few months later. This can backfire as well. I don't know that anyone can give you anymore information. Yes, using the companies that advertise here would be the next best thing: it sounds like you have checked and found no discounts. this is pretty much what I am saying. The best way to get discounts is working with an agent that does have access to all sorts of specials such as military, union discounts, and others. Good luck, NMNita
