Rare KKB Posted November 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2023 We are Caesars Diamond members & supposed to get 20% off the base fare. HA. Called today...price was almost the same as if I booked it myself! Should have been about $300 less. Not sure what that is about...

Are you supposed to get 20% off of the base list price as opposed to 20% off of whatever the current discounted fare (fares are always discounted) is? If it's the former, the current pricing may already be reduced by 20% or more.

larryt1976 Posted November 25, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2023 I believe I got the discount after the whatever promo was going on We honestly had more ease booking with a personal cruise consultant they were able to apply the casino discount to booking casino. At seas we’re not helpful when we called them
complawyer Posted November 25, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 25, 2023 i have booked through CAS for almost all of the past 13 years. A few years i used a PCC, i have never really had any trouble booking thru CAS. their staff are extremely helpful. my wife has Diamond club status thru cesar's entertainment, and we get 10% of a suite/haven, and 20% off club balcony and below. we get whatever promo is happening, + her discount and my 10% military
UKstages Posted November 25, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 25, 2023 CZR discounts apply on top of whatever the prevailing promo is. once you travel on NCL, you will likely get far better offers directly from NCL, assuming you have even modest play. If you gamble on the ship at a CET Diamond level of play, you every cruise in the future will be a comp'ed cruise. The CAS booking also gets you a casino drink card good for bottled water, energy drinks, sport drinks at the casino bar. dbrown84 Posted November 26, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 26, 2023 You're probably getting a CAS discount of 20% based on previous play. The Caesars discount does not stack on top of this. What you're paying, for the base fare, should be discounted from the price you see if you do a mock booking on the website
Rare KKB Posted November 26, 2023 Author #11 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Well...I figured SOME of it out... Forgot to ask them to DROP the travel insurance (my Chase Reserve has very good coverage). But annoying I get a "20%" discount...BUT they add a $155pp "admin fee"--ALTHOUGH, this base fare plus that admin fee is just a few $ more than 20% off, so whatever...🙄 Honestly, looking at the invoice they sent me on the hold..NOTHING adds up--WTH??!! So each person is charged: 491.20 Cruise Fare 155.00 Casino Admin Fee 246.45 Port taxes and fees 164.40 Gratuity on Dinners and Drinks package (1/2 the 328.80) 109.00 Insurance ---------- 1665.05 Total per person Yeah, the way they show the pricing is not clear at all. As I said in the previous post, if you are a decent gambler, you can get away from the CET discounts and get a comp'ed room directly from NCL on your next cruise. If you are a diamond member with CET, I am surprised that you have not got a "free cruise certificate" from Caesars. Yeah, those are usually free inside or ocean view rooms, so if you want a balcony, you pay the difference in price as an upgrade. Yes, the NCL admin fee is annoying. Most other cruise lines don't charge that. Edited November 26, 2023 by BirdTravels

NCL is unique in that they do not send you an offer via email or snail mail that specifically states what your offer is... you won't know which level of accommodation you are being offered until you call. phillygwm Posted November 30, 2023 #14 Share Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) Depends on the offer. I got a good deal (balcony upgraded to club) because I'm NCL rated. A friend who gambles a LOT more than I do (at Caesars) got a free oceanview. But when I asked my host for a quote on a cabin for someone who is not a gambler, the cost was slightly more than I computed by running the numbers myself on a certain big box warehouse site. That site offered a $333 gift card on top of everything else. Edited November 30, 2023 by phillygwm

CZR has a set of criteria for rating players in its casinos. they are not the same criteria. are you talking about an NCL offer made to your friend by CZR? if so, a strong CZR player will almost always get a better offer directly from NCL, once having played on NCL, whereas CZR may only award an NCL certificate for an inside or oceanview. That's correct. My friend has never been on a cruise but she gambles (CZR properties) much more than I do. However, most of my gambling is on NCL so my offer was better than hers. KXZ1498 Posted December 1, 2023 #20 Share Posted December 1, 2023 The admin fees are the same as deposit fees on other cruise lines when you hit Sapphire. You get it back as OBC.

I believe Sapphire Tier gets $200 OBC for each cruise.
cruiserbear55 Posted December 2, 2023 #23 Share Posted December 2, 2023 Has the admin fee been raised to $155.00, as shown in @KKBpost #11 above. We've always paid $20.00 a day.
KarimaJ Posted December 2, 2023 #24 Share Posted December 2, 2023 If you have cruised with them call CAS and book direct. We typically only Have to pay the admin fees and taxes, the drink gratuities if we take it. The next cruise I have booked we did end up paying $1600 for 3 of us because it was a high demand time.
