Updated Granduer review wanted!!

Recommended Posts

You're going to drive yourself nuts if you're worrying about Norwalk and don't cruise for a month. Between now and then, there are probably 6-8 new departures, and even if the virus is gone now, there is nothing saying it can't (or won't) be brought on again.

Don't go into a cruise worried about what might happen..... Just plan on having a good time and take the precautions that so many other's have already posted numerous times-- wash your hands.

mattie's mom:

We also sail on the 22nd and don't want to be sick. But, everyone is right, we will wash our hands repeatedly and hope for the best. We are happy to be going and looking forward to a great vacation!! See ya next month!

I just returned this past Thursday (3/16), I heard no mention of anyone being ill while onboard, but there was one poster who indicated that there were a few people who did get sick. That being said, it is still the tail end of the flu season, so you ought to take precautions - like regularly washing your hands.

The crew was actively enagged in trying to keep the boat clean and had severl measures in place to deal with this such as:

1. using disinfectant on railings, door handles etc.,

2. making certain guests use the hand sanitizers when entering the dining facilities

3. not allowing you to serve yourself in the Windjammer

4. regulary make announcements encouraging hand washing

5. discouraging people from shaking hands with crew members

Nothing is failsafe, any passenger could unwittingly bring it aboard I found their efforts to be reasonable.
