MMfan14 Posted November 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2023 So, I'm interested in visiting Bermuda at sometime, but would like to know why ships are docked there for multiple days 2-4? Is there that many interesting things to do on this island?
ymncruise Posted November 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2023 I like going to the beach in Bermuda and love being there for multiple days so you don’t have to rush back to the ship. It’s a beautiful, friendly, clean and safe island. There aren’t any other islands close by for port stops. There are videos on you tube that show interesting spots to visit on the island.
Rare 1025cruise Posted November 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Mainly because there's no place else to go on a 7 day cruise.
KDKSAIL Posted November 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2023 You can certainbly take other 5 or 7 day cruises to other destinations from northeastern US cities (Boston, NYC, Baltimore) BUT....you'll probably have to fly to Florida first to board your ship and fly home. Bermuda is really the only tropical or semi-tropical destination within convenient cruising distance for this length of time. . Unlike many other cruise ports, tiny Bermuda has a lgreat deal to offer beyond they immediate environs of the gangway of your cruise ship--incredible natural beauty, many charms both great and small, genuinely friendly, welcoming, hospitable atmosphere, relatively safe environment, at almost any time of day or night, almost anywhere a visitor might venture. The island has an excellent, economical and easy to figure out and use public transportation system that will take visitors to, or close to wherever they might want to go during their brief port call. Bermuda is a remarkably '..comfortable..' destination to explore, experience and enjoy. She has a broad selection of sights and attractions and absolutely magnificent beaches. Because of these factors (and others) it's no accident that so many cruise lines offer Bermuda cruises and so many cruisers choose Bermuda cruises as a multi-repeat visitors..
