Yehootu Posted December 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2023 We're looking at booking a 32 day cruise on the Coral. We've sailed on the Island both before and after retro and enjoyed it both times. Does the Coral have burgers on the Lido deck, or only Pizza? I know there's no "casual dining" venues, but do they do any pop-up type of venue. We have 9 days at sea and it would be a good option on those days. We normally book a far aft room, but just finished a TA on the Regal in a forward cabin and liked the location. With the buffet up front, and having to walk through the spa to get to the aft of the lido deck we're thinking of a forward location again. How's the ride up front on the smaller ship. We don't mind bouncing around, helps us sleep.

Grilled burgers and dogs to go Follow your nose to the Deck Barbecue where the burgers are flipping and the hot dogs roasting, served with a variety of fixin’s and crisp fries. Veggie burgers, bratwurst and grilled chicken breast are also served and all are sure to hit the spot when you are relaxing out on deck
capriccio Posted December 4, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2023 We were on the Coral Round Australia cruise last April and it sounds like you may be on the same itinerary. If so, it was great (even missing two ports because of high winds and seas). We didn't spend much time on the Lido deck (we preferred the covered pool area) and I can't remember the food offerings,. They did have an Alfredo's menu pop-up in Sabatinis at least once a week. That was before Princess instituted the charges for restaurants so I don't know if the pop-ups are still free. I remember - but we didn't ever attend - pub lunch was also offered. We were far aft (as we were on all our previous Coral cruises) so I can't offer any experience on a far forward location. The Coral has a small International Cafe by the casino. It also has the Universe Lounge which was removed from the Island. 3

It’s the best show we’ve ever seen on Princess.

It is basically part of the bar that services the casino
capriccio Posted December 4, 2023 #9 Share Posted December 4, 2023 When on a cruise in Australian waters (if that is @Yehootu’s itinerary), smoking is not allowed on any cruise ships.

skynight Posted December 4, 2023 #11 Share Posted December 4, 2023 I don't smoke either, never have. But, the International Cafe is there on the Coral. To just stop by for a doughnut, sandwich, cookie, coffee or something to carry away I don't think would offend very many, especially in the morning when the casino is not very busy and on port days when it is closed. 1

It really takes them by surprise.

I found booking a flight on the 9th and staying a week saved a few $K on airfare. For some reason Wednesday has the lowest fare. Of course I only fly one airline so not sure what others are offering. Another 15hr flight so the pre party in the lounge will be a must. I'll be getting around to the Roll Call. Aloha

I’m addition to the other comments which take your post to task, the fitness center has been relocated such that there is no outside view.
~*Lou*~ Posted December 6, 2023 #20 Share Posted December 6, 2023 We had a mid-ship cabin but noticed more movement in the dining room and buffet compared to the cabin in rough seas on Coral. Yes burgers, hot dogs, tacos at the grill on deck 15 above the pool deck. Alfredo's pizza (only pizza, no entrée or dessert) was in Sabatini's at lunch on sea days in 2022 - no idea how they manage that now with extra "casual dining" charges. Its a lovely ship, so much outside space.
