Abovethesod Posted January 4 #1 Share Posted January 4 Hi All. Just got cabin details for Azura sailing on 19/01/24 and we have been allocated a cabin midships on the Rivera, deck 14. Checked deck plans and found the buffet is directly above our cabin. Anyone had any problems with noise in this or nearby cabins on same deck? We were under the buffet and never heard anything. It is also a very handy location for grabbing a cuppa and snack to take back to your room. There is an overhang on the balcony which some people seem to think caused issues with getting the sun. We had no problem with it and actually preferred it as it means you are not overlooked like many of the balconies - so much so, we have booked Riviera deck for our upcoming Britannia cruise. LovingLife7668 Posted March 2 #4 Share Posted March 2 (edited) We were "upgraded" to R746 (Deck 14) on Azura. Lovely view to the rear and larger than usual balcony... but HORRENDOUS noise disturbance from the pool and terrace bar next door, the terrace pool metal staircase (side), and the terrace bar deck area above. The bar shuts at 10pm, but that doesn't stop the constant traffic of guests using the space until late, and early morning. Add to that the constant dragging of chairs, tables and sunbeds throughout the day from above, and the deafening vibration of the thrusters when docking early morning etc. We moved. Hope you still had a good cruise as you say you moved but not where to ? 🤔 Take care 🙂

I always book Saver fares and it's mostly always worked out fine. This was the first time I did a Select fare and chose the cabin... and they moved me. C'est la vie.
