cruisinmamma Posted January 17 #1 Share Posted January 17 Do any RC ships provide infant car seats to borrow for excursions? Specifically WOTS.

No, you would need to provide your own, or ask the car rental/driver service if they can provide. Would this be a RC excursion or independent? minniemouse427 Posted January 17 #4 Share Posted January 17 We cruised when our now 22yo was 2 and 3yo, we brought our car seat with us (used on plane and airport/hotel/port transportation). Once on board the seat went in the bottom of the closet and we didn't use it again until the end of the cruise. At ports, we stuck to walking to places close by or excursions on buses (no car seat used on buses) instead of lugging a car seat around.
SbbquilterUT Posted January 17 #5 Share Posted January 17 In many destinations the tour buses or cabs will not necessarily be able to install car seats.

How old is the infant? check out these boards for more info on traveling with your own car seat (or without one, especially if you didn't buy an airplane seat for your infant). https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/28-family-cruises/ https://community.babycenter.com/groups/a10635/traveling_with_children I highly recommend getting a light, compact travel seat, like Cosco Scenera NEXT. You can attach it to a stroller or a hand truck with bungee cords. Use it on the plane to ensure its safety. You should learn to install this seat with a seat belt lock clip because sometimes cars in the Caribbean nations do not have locking seat belts or lower latch anchors (aka isofix). It's a couple of bucks on Amazon. Edited January 17 by Itchy&Scratchy
