aussiecruiser66 Posted June 25 #51 Share Posted June 25 If you read back through the posts Lyndarra at post# 10 mentions going to Komodo first and she didn't seem to have a problem with her Visa application. Maybe someone else can way in on this question.

Will know next time as you are always a wealth of knowledge on this Roll Call. Jenny

This thread has been so helpful for me. I am an old fellow so my knowledge on computers is very limited. How did you get the forms ? did you have to register to get the forms to practice and did you have to apply each time to get the three practice forms ? Did you sort out the internal error ? Sorry about all the questions but if I can get some idea of going about this Visa business I will be able to enjoy my lead up to my cruise in November.🙂
harbourside Posted June 26 #56 Share Posted June 26 I just went into the official website and started the process. I was quite surprised when my photo and passport went it without being rejected, but as I did not get to the end , who knows if it was right. This is starting to look like a nightmare. It does appear they do not make it easy. As mentioned before if you are from the USA you do not need a Visa. I cant understand why they can not do it for Australia and New Zealand. It seems a lot of effort and cost for stopping at Indonesia on a Cruise ship for such limited time. Singapore visa seems a lot easier and at no cost. I don't know if it applies for your cruise but for mine it is a case of if you do not have the visa you will not be allowed to go aboard, Thanks for your reply. Other cruise lines do it on board, but Viking says no, but I have heard from others that they have done it, but I cannot take the risk. I may have to pay to have someone to do it for me. I went to the post # 177 as Lyndarra suggested and saw BIBT who do apply for you but I suggest Googling CIBT reviews, pretty horrifying !! Perhaps one of our CC friends might be able to point us in the right direction for someone reliable.

After my last post and going on line to research companies that apply for your Indonesia Visa I have decided to go through the official Indonesian web site to apply. It seems that more problems can arise than applying yourself and the fee is quite high. Still not sure how early you can apply. Hopefully all will turn out well. This is where Indonesian visa problems/glitches/quirks, are often discussed. That's where I got my info (most of which I've now forgotten) when I did the same cruise in 2023. The problem with roll-call these days they really don't have much if any activity & interaction. I asked a question on mine & didn't get a reply. Rare lyndarra Posted June 26 #62 Share Posted June 26 That's sometimes the way with Roll Calls. I remember on one Alaskan cruise there was very little traffic on the RC. At the meet & Greet only six people turned up. A lot can depend on whether or not there are experienced cruisers on the RC as there are with one I'm on at the moment, people organising private tours, 23 pages and 572 posts.

For Singapore; are you talking about the Singapore online arrival card, which needs to be submitted within 3 days prior to arrival.....or an actual visa ? 2. You mentioned needing a visa, otherwise boarding will be denied. Are you talking about Indonesia or Singapore, as your post is not clear. Thanks. They mentioned applying 14 days before travel and I assume they are talking 14 business days. Would be nice to have it sorted before leaving Australia and staying in Singapore for a few days.I have sent an email to get an official answer to how far in advance I can apply. Rare cruiser3775 Posted July 3 #71 Share Posted July 3 My cruise in August is stopping at Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), then Benoa (Bali), then Lembar (Lombok). I'm about to start applying for the Indonesia eVOA. Can anyone tell me: 1. Will the visa cover all three ports for the one application and cost? 2. I can see the advice for Jakarta and Bali addresses for the visa application, but not for Lombok. Can anyone tell me what address and postcode to put?
Rare lyndarra Posted July 3 #72 Share Posted July 3 1. The visa covers all your ports. 2. IIRC last time I was indonesia (Jan 2023) I used only one address, that of our tour company for our first port of call tour which was Komodo.
Rare cruiser3775 Posted July 16 #73 Share Posted July 16 I have finally managed to get my eVisa for Indonesia. Lots of problems, so here's a summary of what I did, which might help anyone else who is applying. 1. The Official website is https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/web/visa-selection The visa to apply for for a cruise is the B1 2. Before you start, you need: Two copies of your passport. One has to be a .jpg file and the other has to be a .pdf file. An ID photo, must be recent, and conform to their specs, which are listed once you start the process A ,pdf copy of your itinerary, showing when and where you arrive in Indonesian ports 3. Start doing the process. It froze a couple of times while I was doing it, but eventually recovered. All the requests are in good, easily understood English as well as Indonesian. You can practise and close it, but there is no way to save what you have done and continue later, so you have to start again every time you try. 4. When you get to the port of entry part, choose "Others". Then put "(name of ship) cruise port (name of town)" The next part has a space for postal code. If you input the right code, it auto fills in the rest. You only need the postcode for your first port. I had to ask my travel agent for the codes. These are the ones I know of: Tanjung Priok (Jakarta) 14310 Benoa (Bali) 80361 Lemban (Lombok) 83364 5. Upload the .pdf files for your passport and for your itinerary. It doesn't actually show what you have uploaded (unlike when you upload the passport .jpg at the start), but apparently they were successfully uploaded, so just carry on. 6. At the end of the information, it goes to a summary screen, which has check boxes for the main information you have provided. Check carefully for accuracy. Mine had my date of issue for my passport as today's date, which I had to correct. You get a transaction number if you have completed it all correctly, and you can then proceed to payment. 7. The next screen is for payment, which is currently Rp 519,500.(about $A48). I used a credit card with no foreign exchange fees. It sends a third factor confirmation code to your phone number, which you input. I got an almost instant confirmation, a receipt and a copy of the eVisa. 8. The eVisa they issue is not on A4 size paper. It doesn't fit, and the bar codes at the bottom are cut off. I had to fiddle for ages to get it to a size I could print on one page. Hope this helps! Good Luck.
Chiliburn Posted July 16 #74 Share Posted July 16 There are rumours they are going to drop the visa requirements for us . https://thewest.com.au/travel/bali-visa-fees-to-go-c-15315764
Rare cruiser3775 Posted July 16 #75 Share Posted July 16 That would be good, though you still have to pay the Bali local government tourist levy on arrival, which is separate from the eVisa. You can do the eVisa through the ship, but they charge double what it costs to DIY, and having it on hand saves waiting in a long queue on arrival
