Casino4me Posted March 15 #1 Share Posted March 15 My husband and I are both Casino Prime on Royal. In April we will both recieve a free cruise. If I book one cruise with a friend and he books the other cruise with a friend on the same cruise ship sailing. Can we move our friends into one of the cabins? Or does one Prime person have to be in each cabin?

navybankerteacher Posted March 16 #6 Share Posted March 16 Is there anyone who does not understand that the reason heavy gamblers are “given” benefits is because the lines know that, in the long run, the more someone gambles the more they will lose to the house? Of course they want to encourage high rollers.

I'd suggest heading over to the Royal Caribbean forum and asking. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/51-royal-caribbean-international/ Or, possibly, there's information on the Royal Caribbean website regarding such offers you could check out.

It is no different than a cruise line offering incentives for return customers.

You need to be sure your guests are on the same credit card/account and you and your husband are on the same one. They will match the keys to the same onboard charge account. Heckah Posted March 16 #12 Share Posted March 16 You can get extra key cards when you get on board. My wife and I earn free sailings and I'll book myself and one daughter in my room and her and the other in hers. Then we get the extra keys when we get on board.
SG65CB Posted March 16 #13 Share Posted March 16 Book the rooms as you suggested - one prime member in each cabin. You cannot officially move people later, but on the ship they don't care where anyone sleeps. They will give you a spare key for each room if you ask at guest services. This is common practice. It is only a key, it cannot be used for room charges or to get off and on the ship. The person sleeping in the "wrong" room can use the spare key. Officially you and your husband will be in separate rooms but one can use the extra key to access the room where you are actually sleeping. Onboard charges will still go to the room listed on the booking. 1

Yes, cruise lines give perk incentives to frequent cruisers to keep them coming back and contribute to the cruise companies’ bottom lines - just as casinos (and cruise lines with casinos) give BIG incentives to known gamblers because they know that regular known gamblers are great for the bottom line because the more they gamble the more likely it is that they will lose more than the incentives cost the cruise lines. There are a lot of gamblers who like to believe that they are winners - but at the end of the day virtually all of them are losers. An intelligent person can enjoy a casino - sometimes winning, but more often losing - but the ones who actually believe that they are regular winners are the ones the casino operators love the most - because they are the ones who will lose most to the casinos. 3red7s Posted March 16 #17 Share Posted March 16 we have done this many times......book one under each of your names, & once you get on the ship, go to guest services & have them re-arrange your names & rooms. Make sure that they also transfer over your credit card info.

You originally posted this in the Ask A Cruise Question forum and that can be a tough crowd. Your post was moved to the Royal Caribbean forum, so you should be able to get cruise specific information here. Your cabin steward doesn't care who sleeps where, you can get extra keys onboard and have people move to where you want them. 🙂 1

Once on the ship absolutely no one cares who is who as far as cabins are concerned. Your cabin steward, even Stewart the steward could not care less. Go with post # 17.

I am currently on Freedom on a comped cruise. I have talked to many other people at the casino bar yesterday and today. The consensus is most people are like me…they lose more often than they win but they are happy with the amount of cruise offers they get. The only time I hear about people who say they always win or who say they won a free cruise after only betting $200 are on online sites like this one. There are always the exceptions who win a big pot or have a very good cruise, but they are the exceptions. The casino program wouldn’t exist if the majority of gamblers usually won.

Book as you said then as others have said go to guest services and get spare keys. We have done this before with no questions asked. Do not ask to have names re-arranged/re-assigned as that is a red flag for the casino.
